通常情况下,广告分为两种类型,分别为公益广告(public service advertisement/ non-profit advertisement)和商业广告(commercial advertisement)。
前者是以社会大众的社会意识为主要市场,而后者主要是商家利用这一媒介来宣传和推广他的新产品。就历年的广告类真题来看,基本还是侧重在商业广告方面,而对于公益广告考官却不是特别看重。了解了这个之后,我们在复习期间的重点就有了。当然各位考生在复习期间,还是可以适当去关注一些广告例子,作为后期写作文的素材。
Nowadays, there are lots of advertisements on TV or on the streets. Some people think that the advertising boosts sales of goods and it encourages people to buy things unnecessarily.
第一个开头段是一个背景句,这是一个常见的做法,就是说某事很普遍。
类似句型还有It is common to see that..., in present-day society where ...is common...
因为这是一个广告类的话题,所以自然用广告对我们的影响来引入话题。
主体段(1)
These arguments may be true in my country.
// Many advertising companies produce advertisements with famous and popular actors or singers. People, especially youngsters buy goods that their favorite singers advertise, although they do not really need the products.
// Also on TV screen, a product may look gorgeous and good quality. As a result of it, people often buy goods without enough consideration. Consumers may not actually need it. They buy goods impulsively soon after they watched the advertising.
// Furthermore, as many consumers buy a particular product due to its advertising campaign, the other people may be affected by the trend, even if the product is not of the real needs of the society.
正文段开始,我们先看到他的中心句明确地显示出作者的一个态度,以直接回应题目中的问题,像这个题目,它主要是与我们讨论畅销产品的所谓热销,是否归功于广告的力量,而非社会真正的需求。
所以一般来说,我们第一个主体段,会对整个话题进行回应,什么叫对整个话题进行回应呢? 就是说我们会讨论广告是否会对人们买东西,消费行为产生影响,而且我们还一定要带着说这些消费的行为,一般来说都不是他们真正要的,也就是买不需要的东西,即为冲动消费。
具体论点分别是:

广告中邀请很多明星,用所谓的明星效用
对这个点,他的论证展开方法是点出了人们,尤其是年会为了自己的偶像而购买,实现了论点到论据的自然连接。
这个论证是大部分学员容易遗漏的,他们一般而只是停在一个层面上去,说会有明星帮忙做广告,直接说所以就卖得更好,中间就缺失了我们刚刚讲的论证的这个细节。2
关于广告的过分包装效果
其实这个点的处理方法也是可以更具体一下,比如说运用美好的图片和动听的音乐的方式可以吸引消费者的注意。且这里还可以增加描述这些消费者本身倾向看起来好看的东西,从而激发消费。

消费者的从众心态
最后这个论点主要说到的是广告商还运用一个从众的心态。这个点其实大家在实际做考试的时候,不一定要写一个段落,围绕着一到两个点充分的说明即可。

第二个主体段一般会从事情的反面进行论述,即对这个话题中间有问题的部分-畅销产品的销量并不是人们真正需求的反映。大部分人还是会结合自己的实际情况,比如说可支配收入、选择性购物,也就可能不停的去买广告所畅销的东西。
范文:结尾段
In conclusion, as consumers have their own strong opinions and standards, good quality goods. It is better to leave them to make their own decision in buy goods. It is fairly difficult to say everyone is swayed by advertising and buy goods impulsively.
