IB生物IA来源于实验。这里讲的“实验”包括两种情况-自己的实验和别人的实验。
大多数学员会选择自己做实验,那就要求从设计,操作,分析数据,完成报告,全部都有自己来。还有一少部分学员选择分析别人的实验。因为其中省略了自己设计和操作的部分,对“别人的实验”要求就会更高,需要学员能够在网上搜集大数据。同时,对“分析数据”要求也更高,至少要有生物统计学的概念。
选择感兴趣的领域和课题
选题首先要从选择研究领域开始。千万不要小看了兴趣,选择自己感兴趣的领域和课题做研究,才能在研究过程中加入更多的personalengagement, 也就是IA特别注重的个人参与。
研究的可行性格外重要
比如以下这个实验
上网找到关于Mg2+浓度对植物生长的影响,任何植物都可以,拿到一个range。
配置5个不同浓度的MgCl2 溶液
找到5个豆芽机,分别用5个不同浓度的MgCl2 溶液发黄豆芽
每天观察拍照,测量高度,直径,生根情况
差不多一周以后,收割豆芽,测定任何一个营养物质的成分,比如维C或者蛋白质
这个实验的难度系数较低,因为豆芽机通常都有5个格子,所以每个格子里的一份豆芽算一个repeat,一周之后,5个repeat都有了。
选择可控的变量
列出包含IA中所需的全部相关材料的清单
设计实验要点、步骤,并收集数据,规划好实验设计和安排
伦理与安全考虑,也就是实验的安全预防措施,比如实验中护目镜的使用,你也可以在这部分中写“实验将不会有安全问题”以阐明安全性;
实验结果和原始数据,把所有结果展现出来
