(i) Will Steverail's quantity increase, decrease,or not change? Explain.(ii) Will consumer surplus increase, decrease, or not change?

（d）Assume instead that a lump-sum subsidy is provided to Steverail. For the short run, answer the following

(i) Will the deadweight loss increase, decrease, or not change? Explain.
(ii) Will Steverail's economic losses increase, decrease,or not change?

Per-unit subsidy和lump-sum subsidy可能有些学员都不知道subsidy还分两种，知道的也往往只知道他们的定义上的差别。但是AP考试却需要考生掌握这两种subsidy下，对于price和quantity的变化。

如果你还不知道他们的区别，别担心，杨导师来告诉你。Per-unit subsidy因为影响生产，所以mc会向下移动，那么在mr和ar不变的情况下，我们的profit maximization quantity就会增加，price就会下降。

而lump-sum subsidy是一次性的，不会影响生产，所以mc是不变的，但是atc会降低（这里不明白的学员可以理解成你的fixed cost减少了），所以profit maximization quantity不变，price也就不变，但是因为atc降低了，所以profit增加了。
