托福口语真题解析来啦 新话题的你会怎么答

A large corporation wants to find a new CEO. There are two candidates with different ways of decision-making. The first candidate is a fast decision-maker, making decisions mainly on his own, while the second candidate always holds thorough discussion with other employees before making final decision. Which CEO candidate do you prefer?

一个大公司，希望找一位新的CEO。有两个候选人，他们决定问题的方法有所区别。第一个候选人是会快速作出决定，而且不怎么与其他人讨论。第二个候选人是在做决定之前，会跟其他人充分的进行讨论。你认为哪一个领导人更好？

解析：

这道新题融合了两个热门关键词“leader quality” 和 “work”。在2019年之前的独立口语话题中，曾多次考察“leader 需要具备什么样的quality？”而“工作类”话题对于低龄考生来说是个难点，由于离他们日常生活遥远，很难在考场上临时想到事例论证。

One quality that a successful leader must have is to make decisions quickly; when a leader takes too  much time to make decisions, he will be seen as inefficient to the people he leads.

在所有关于leadership的题目里，被提及到的特质有communication skills, honesty, spend more time listening than talking, 和making decisions quickly, 但是关于什么是必不可缺的领导特质，我们可能还会有更多想法，比如a strong personality, responsibility和risk-taking.

所以，首先我们要做的是，选出我们内心最认同的三个特质，比如communication skills, responsibility和a strong personality（在这里表示有主见，不被轻易影响或者恫吓），当然你也可以选择decisiveness和risk-taking. 然后，分别写一个理由段来描述你选出来的特质为什么对领导力重要。

所以，以后题目如果是“领导最重要的特质是A”，你就可以写A是重要（让步），但是B/C更重要。如果题目是“领导最重要的特别是B”，你就可以写B是重要（让步），但是A/C更重要。所以基本就是准备三个理由段就okay了。
