今年CIE的IGCSE英语考试定在了5月初，想必有很多同学知道在英国，很多大学都是认可IGCSE英语成绩的。那么下面想来给大家讲讲IGCSE英语作文怎么写？同学们如何拿到IGCSE英语写作高分。

IGCSE英语作文怎么写

非正式信函的写作题目中，可能会让你写一篇非正式的信件给家人或朋友。通常这一类的题目会要求你描述、解释某件事，或是让你说一下对某个建议或者计划的看法。题目会给出写作内容，并给你提供相应思路，所以一定要仔细阅读题目，捕捉重点信息。

既然是给家人或朋友的信件，所以用词、语法可以偏日常化一点，这样显得比较自然。在这类题目中，流畅自然的写作风格会比较受青睐。

Email的开头结尾过于正式生疏

常见错误样本： Dear XXX, I am writing to tell you ……

正确案例： 1） You’ll never guess what happened yesterday. 2） I’m sorry I haven’t written since your birthday. I’ve been busy moving/ settling into my new house/ rehearsing for the school play/ getting fit at gym

注意：写Email 和写信切记在开头亲切寒暄，说一点显得和朋友关系很好的套词话。

不要为了凑字写废话

常见错误样本： 1） (以 介绍你的新家为例) My new home has three bedrooms, and the bed in my bedroom is really big.

正确案例：1）I was literally on the moon when I saw the projector in my bedroom. I just can’t wait to use it to watch our favourite sci-fi movies with you.

可以写一些你真的会觉得有趣的信息，比如 I was literally on the moon （用一个习语来表示自己特别开心） when I saw the projector （指放在卧室的投影仪） in my bedroom. I just can’t wait to use it to watch our favourite sci-fi movies （体现出为什么和收信人相关 & 体现出你们关系好） with you.

对情绪感受的写法过于平淡

在这里建议大家至少一篇文章用两个习语表达让你的写作生动起来。这里为大家列举了一些可以代替常用的开心，悲伤，愤怒等经常出现在ESL写作中的表达。

表示开心的 happy

I was totally thrilled

When mum showed me the little attic I was literally over the moon.  （快乐地要上天了）

When Mr Harrison praised me for getting all the answers correct, I felt like walking on the moon/ on the top of world （同理快乐地要上天了）. I bet I must be proud as a peacock （骄傲地像个孔雀，表示得意洋洋的状态） that moment.

Weep for joy  喜极而泣

When the headmaster announced I was the winner of the Academic Award this year, my mum wept for joy and dad hugged me in excitement.

表示期待的 excited and looking forward to

pump up – very excited about something – He’s pumped up for his first marathon race this week. （本意有打气的意思，这里表示打满了气，时刻准备上场了）

表示愤怒，忧伤的  angry and sad

fire someone one anger – having known thousands of pets are abandoned every year really fired me with anger. But no time for sorrow! （伤口撒盐，火上浇油）

At the end of one’s tether – having no strength or patience left  - By six o'clock after a busy day I'm at the end of my tether. （tether 是英式英语中的rope, 绳子的意思，在这里指已经精疲力竭，累极了的）

表示不安的，害怕的

Have/get/feel butterflies in your stomach （生动地表达惴惴不安的心情 – 像蝴蝶在肚子里飞）

I’m going to have the first meeting with a big client tomorrow, and I’m feeling butterflies in my stomach.

Afraid of your own shadow（连自己的影子都害怕 – 杯弓蛇影）

That movie got me so scared that I was afraid of my own shadow!

Petrified of - extremely frightened, especially so that you cannot move or decide what to do.

In the “Harry Potter” series, Ron Weasley is petrified of spiders.

I've always been petrified of being alone. （是否能想到哈利波特里的石化咒呢？ 吓到石化，吓到一动不动）

Make your blood run cold（中文中说让人头冷，英文中说 – 紧张害怕的当我血都冷了！）

Many people say that when they are scared, it makes them feel very cold all of a sudden.

Heart missed a beat

I got so scared that my heart missed a beat.
