联合国日，你知道多少？How Much Do You Know About UN Day?

联合国日是为了联合国宪章于1945年生效而制定的纪念日。随着包括安全理事会五个常任理事国在内的大多数签署国批准这一创始文件，联合国正式成立了。

自1948年以来，每年的10月24日被定为联合国日。该纪念日的主题为维持国际和平与安全，发展国际间友好关系，促进经济、社会、文化及人类福利等方面的国际合作。

正是因为联合国在国际地位上发挥着极其重要的作用，越来越多的学生群体开始关注这个国际组织，模拟联合国由此产生。经过60多年的发展，模拟联合国已经风靡世界，全世界每年有近四百个国际模拟联合国大会在五大洲的50多个国家召开，每年参与大会的师生来自世界100多个国家，总人数超过四百万人。

模拟联合国对中学生和大学生而言，是一个非常有价值的平台。青年学生们扮演不同国家的代表，参与围绕国际上的热点问题召开的会议。通过这些活动，学生们不仅会更加熟悉联合国的运作，而且他们的演讲能力、批判性思考能力、沟通能力、领导能力以及团队协作能力都会有显著地提升。

在宁波市奉化区诺德安达学校，学生们同样有机会参与模拟联合国，以此增长自身国际视野，在将来为世界献出自己的一份力量，做一名出色的国际公民。

2019年7月15日，我校师生参加在广州举办的模拟联合国大会，学生们各自代表荷兰、瑞典以及巴基斯坦，自信地用英语阐述自己的观点，为国家利益­进行辩论、谈判、游说。另外，和友好国家沟通协作，解决冲突。

模拟联合国，更是模拟人生。在这里，孩子们学会了如何利用身边的资源搜集各类资料，懂得如何说服他人，明白了沟通、让步、妥协、争取的意义。在这里，诺德安达的同学们代表各自国家的立场进行激烈角逐，它不光是各路大神的比拼，更是磨炼意志与自身的试炼场。这一次活动不仅仅带给了同学们知识，也让同学们累积了经验。不畏惧、不胆怯、学术至上、环球视野、精诚协作是模联会议应有的精神，也是诺德安达学子对自身素养的一贯追求。

UN Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter. With the ratification of this founding document by the majority of its signatories, including the five permanent members of the Security Council, the United Nations officially came into being.

24 October has been celebrated as United Nations Day since 1948. The theme of the anniversary is to maintain international peace and security, developing friendly international relations, and promoting international cooperation in many aspects such as economy, society, culture and human welfare.

The founding of the United Nations in 1945 aroused widespread enthusiasm among people all over the world, especially for the teenager students. Over more than 60 years of development, Model United Nations has become one of the most popular events. Each year, nearly 400 MUN conferences are held in over 50 countries across five continents.  

Model United Nations is a valuable platform for secondary and college students. Teenager students act as representatives of different countries and participate in the conference on the hot international affairs. Through those activities, not only students will be more familiar about the operation of the United Nations, but also their presentation skill, critical thinking skill, communication skill, leadership skill and teamwork skill will improve dramatically.

At Nord Anglia School Ningbo, Fenghua, students also have the opportunity in the Model United Nations Conference, which is to increase their global mindedness and make contribution to the world in the future and become a global citizen.

On July 15th, 2019, our teacher and students participated in a three-day MUN conference at Guangzhou. The students acted as the representatives of Netherlands, Sweden, and Pakistan. They confidently expressed their opinions in English and they debated, negotiated, and lobbied for the national interest. In addition, they also communicated and cooperated with friendly countries to resolve conflicts.

Simulating the United Nations is actually simulating real life. Here, students learn how to use the resources around them to collect all kinds of information, learn how to persuade others, understand the meaning of communication, compromise and struggle. Here, NAS Ningbo students on behalf of their respective countries' positions experienced fierce contests, which is not only the way to win competition, but also a way to improve. This activity not only brings students knowledge, but also lets students accumulate experience. Not afraid, not timid, global vision, sincere collaboration is the spirit of the MUN, and is what NAE wishes our students to be.
