Trevor Lai Visitng Author

WISS was excited to welcome author/illustrator Trevor Lai! Trevor is an award-winning Chinese-Canadian author and illustrator. He has published 15 books, mostly picture books for young readers and is the founder and CEO of UpStudios, which recently debuted its new children’s cartoon on Chinese TV, Super BOOMi. Trevor shared with students how his passion for art and story were fueled by his love of reading. In a special parent session, Trevor encouraged parents to fuel the imagination and creativity of children by being an engaged parent, entering their children's worlds and giving them opportunitiies to explore what they love. WISS currently has four of his picture books in our library for parents and students who'd like to read some of his work.
