黑格尔说过:“数学是上帝描述自然的符号。” 数学在中国历史悠久,所有的孩子的数学启蒙都是从数字开始的,而数学的奥秘并不单单是数字那么简单。数学笼统来讲是一门跟数字相关的课程,但是又是一门有趣的学科。数学即是一种思维方式也是一种逻辑计算。


中外融合的教学体系是诺德安达学校的主要教学方式,基础学科的双语教育特别是数学的双语教育是我们教育教学的重中之重。双语数学教学不仅能够让学生通过中文去了解数学的奥秘,更能通过英文思维方式去学习数学模块。我们希望我们的学生能运用汉语和英语的思维去更深入的学习数学。


随着社会和中国教育的不断发展和变革。小学和中学数学教学成为了家长越来越关注的学科,因为小学数学可以培养小学生的思维能力,而中学数学可以提升学生对宏观的掌控。

Hegel once said, "Mathematics is the symbol that God use to describe nature." Mathematics has a long history in China. Every child begins with numbers for their mathematics enlightenment education, while the mystery of math is not just about numbers. Generally speaking, math is not only a course related to numbers, but also an interesting subject. It is not only a way of thinking but also a logical calculation.

Bilingual education is the main teaching method in Nord Anglia. We take bilingual mathematics teaching as the priority of our education. We believe this can enable our students not only to understand the mystery of math through Chinese, but also to learn math modules through English way of thinking. We hope our students can use both Chinese and English ways of thinking to study math more deeply.

With the development of society and the history of Chinese education, primary and secondary school mathematics teaching has become a subject that parents pay more attention to. It is because that primary school mathematics can cultivate the thinking ability of students, while secondary school mathematics can improve the students' macro control ability.



艺术与数学的结合

The Combination of Art and Mathematics


小学数学是你熟悉的1,2,3 的数字吗?是单一的图形指向学习吗?是1+1=2吗?可能在我们传统的教学当中,学习是这样按部就班。但是在诺德安达学校,我们在秉承着中国数学基础教育的同时,用艺术与数学相结合的方式进行教学。


最近我们的同学都在紧锣密鼓的积极参与网课的学习。小学一年级的学生在最近的课程当中开始学习数学中的图形。而我们的老师将绘色与图形学习相结合。


在我们的3D图形学习当中,老师需要学生为不同的图形涂上不同的颜色,并记录同一图形的数量。我们的同学纷纷交上了他们缤纷色彩下的图形以及图形数量。

Is primary school mathematics the number of 1, 2, 3 that you are familiar with? Is it a single graphics-oriented learning? Is it 1 + 1 = 2? Perhaps in our traditional way of teaching, learning is step-by-step like that. But in Nord Anglia, while adhering to Chinese basic mathematics education, we use the combination of art and math to teach.

Recently, our students are actively participating in online courses. Students in the first grade of primary school began to learn graphics in recent courses. And our teachers combine color drawing with graphic learning in calss.

During 3D graphics teaching, teachers asked students to paint different colors for different graphics and record the number of the same graphics. Our students finally handed in their figures and numbers under colorful colors.

数学融入生活

Mathematics Integrated into Life


 笛卡儿曾经说过:“数学是知识的工具,亦是其它知识工具的泉源。所有研究顺序和度量的科学均和数学有关。”知识来源于生活,而又融入生活。数学亦是如此。

我们的学生在完成绘画与图形的结合之后,老师又引导学生们去生活中寻找数学图形并与图形名称相匹配。我们的小朋友们就从身边的物品找起,在父母的协助下,成功的完成这门课程的进阶课程。从水果,到玩具,再到篮球,易拉罐,甚至电灯,地球仪都成了学习图形的教具。

Descartes once said: "Mathematics is the tool of knowledge, also is the source of the other intellectual tools. All the scientific research order and measurements are related to mathematics." Knowledge comes from life and is integrated into life. So is mathematics.

After finishing the combination of drawing and figures, our teacher guided students to look for mathematical figures in life and match the figures’ names. With the help of parents, they have successfully completed the advanced course. From fruit, to toys, basketball, cans, and even electric lights and the globe has all become the teaching aid for learning graphics.

寓教于乐

Education Through Entertainment


对于传统的中学数学来讲,我们首先想到的数学都是跟“题”相关的,应用题啊,选择题,填空题等等。而我校初中数学部的数学老师Jenny 和George说:“双语教学是我校的一大特色。寓教于乐也是我们设计课堂内容考虑的一个因素。”老师为了帮助孩子们更好地熟记数学专业术语,设计了术语puzzle 活动。在活动中,学生们先根据提示猜测对应的单词,空格数匹配会填入。同时,上下左右交叉的地方,也给孩子们自查正确与否提供了线索。让学生更容易的记住了更多的专业术语。

As for the traditional middle school mathematics, the first thing come to our mind is about "problem solving", such as application problems, multiple-choice problems, filling-in-blank and so on. While our math teachers in the Mathematics Department of junior high school, Jenny and George, said that "Bilingual teaching is the major feature of our school. And it's also a factor that we consider to teach through entertainment when we design our class. " In order to help our students to memorize mathematics terms better, the teachers designed the term puzzle game. In this activity, students guess the corresponding words according to the prompts firstly, and the number of spaces will be filled in. At the same time, the intersection of up, down, left and right also provides clues for them to check whether they are right or not. This makes it easier for them to remember more terms.

与此同时,为了使同学们能在多姿多彩的学习方式中更有效有趣地巩固知识,我校的数学课上经常设计一些活动。初中数学目前正在学的知识是直角坐标系,学生会根据提供的坐标把每个点描出来,顺次连接后得到的动物图案。之后,同学们可以根据喜好图上自己喜欢的颜色。看到可爱的动物图案,学生们更直观的理解直角坐标系这个数学知识。

Furthermore, in order to consolidate students’ knowledge more effectively and interestingly through the variety ways of learning, some activities are designed in our math class. Currently,Junior high school students are learning rectangular coordinate system in math class. They draw each point according to the provided coordinates, and connect them to get the animal patterns. After that, students can draw their favorite colors they like. Seeing cute animal patterns, they can understand rectangular coordinate system more intuitively.

我校数学活动之袋鼠数学竞赛

Math Kangaroo 


喜欢数学的同学们,袋鼠数学竞赛你们了解过了吗?今年我校将成为袋鼠数学竞赛中国考点并将组织学生参加,招募信息一经发送,家长们积极踊跃的打电话咨询,希望自己的孩子可以参与到这个全球大赛当中来。截止到今日,很多同学已经通过校办报名申请了。那让我们来看看袋鼠数学竞赛的我校的后续安排吧!

Did you know about Math Kangaroo? This year, our school will become the test site of Math Kangaroo in China and will organize students to participate when the recruitment information once sent. Parents actively call for consultation, hoping that their children can participate in this global competition. Hitherto, we have received 30 Applications. Later, our school will organize training to help our students understand and participate in the competition.
