孩子的健康成长离不开家长的教育，学校的健康发展离不开家长的支持。为了更好地加强家校沟通，增进家校互动、促进学生成长，北京市房山区诺德安达学校首届家委会成功创立并于2020年1月16日举行了第一届家委会会议。学校成立家委会的目的是为了加强学校与家庭在学生教育工作中的沟通与配合，营造家校一体的教育环境，增进家长对学校工作的理解，以便更高地培养学生。

The healthy growth of children cannot be separated from the family education, and the healthy development of schools is deeply connected with the support of parents. In order to better strengthen home-school communication, enhance home-school interaction and promote students' growth, the First Parent Advisor Committee of NAS Beijing was successfully founded and the first meeting was held on January 16, 2020. The purpose of establishment the Parent Advisor Committee is to strengthen the communication and cooperation between the school and the family in the education work, to create a home-school integrated education environment, to enhance the parents' understanding of the school work, so as to better train the students.

首次家委会会议由北京市房山区诺德安达学校中方校长铁艳女士，以及课程和学生事务、宿舍管理及政府关系主任武彦文老师主持。校级家委会全体成员参加了会议。

首先，铁校长发表校长致辞，感谢本期家长们对学校工作的支持，与全体家委会成员审议家委会章程。随着第一届家委会的成立，铁校长建议通过家委会竞选的方式，投票选举家委会主任及副主任职位，在新的学期进一步加强家校沟通，家长们可以带着创造性的设想，群策群力，形成教育合力，搭建平台，为学生全面发展提供优质的建议。

The Parent Advisor Committee Meeting was chaired by Ms. Grace Tie, National Principal of NAS Beijing, and Mr. Simon Wu, Assistant Head of Curriculum, Student Well-being & Government Related of Primary and Secondary. All members of the Committee attended the meeting.

First of all, Ms. Grace Tie delivered a speech to thank the parents for their support to the school. With the establishment of the Parent Advisor Committee, Grace suggested to vote the Director and Deputy Director of Parent Advisor Committee and further strengthen communication between family in the new semester. Parents can take their creative ideas, projects, form education resultant force, structures, platforms, the comprehensive development to provide quality advice for students.

家委会成员依次进行了个人陈述，阐述了自己加入家委会的初衷和期望，以及为新学期学校的发展献计献策，共促学校发展的责任意识。经过投票选举，第一届家委会主任及副主任人选相继公布。铁校长为两位家委会主任颁发了聘书，并合影留念。

本次会议的召开，不仅增强了家校间的交流与沟通，而且对家长了解学校的管理与发展趋势起到了重要的作用。未来家委会也将定期召开，助力北京市房山区诺德安达学校的教育教学工作。

The members of the Parent Advisor Committee made personal statements in turn, explaining their original intention and expectation of joining the committee, as well as their sense of responsibility for the development of the school in the new semester. After voting election, the Director and Deputy Director candidates announced in succession. Ms. Grace Tie awarded the Letter of Appointment to the two Directors of the Parent Advisor Committee and took a group photo.

The convening of this conference not only enhanced the communication between the home and school, but also played an important role in parents' understanding of the management and development trend of NAS Beijing. In the future, the Parent Advisor Committee will also be held regularly to support the education and teaching of NAS Beijing.
