Community Notice: Return to Campus Update #3

Dear SCIS Parents, 

SCIS, along with all other international schools in Shanghai, has received additional clarification from the Shanghai Educational Commission on our next steps.  We now understand that May 6th is identified as a date by which we should be operationally ready for a return to campus, having completed all mandatory preparation work, and submitted our application for the inspection.

We still do not have a specific timeline for our return-to-campus learning which would include students and teachers. If we learn of a date, we will share this with all of you. In the meantime, we will focus on that which we can control and continue our efforts toward complying with all requirements for the operational and planning requirements for our eventual return.  We will stand ready as soon as there is a confirmed return-to-campus learning date established.

致亲爱的SCIS家长们，

上海长宁国际外籍人员子女学校，同其他的外籍人员子女学校一样，收到了上海市教委对于开学日期的进一步说明。我们需在5月6日前完成市教委规定的全部开学硬件准备工作，申请通过上海市教委的开学审查。

对于学生和老师真正重返学校学习的具体日期，我们目前尚不明确。如果我们得到任何通知，我们会及时通知您。同时，我们将会把目前的工作重心放在开学前期的各项准备上，在我们力所能及的范围内，尽可能全面得为最终学生们返回校园做好准备工作。一旦返校日期公布，我们将第一时间响应。

SCIS는 상해 다른 국제학교들과 함께 다음 단계에 대해 상해 교육 위원회로부터 추가적 설명을 받았습니다. 현재까지는 5월 6일이 학교를 다시 시작할 수 날로 정해져 있습니다. 학교 측은 등교 개시에 요구되는 필수 작업을 완료하였고, 검사 신청서도 제출하였습니다.

그러나 여전히  선생님과 학생들이 실제로 학교로 돌아와 학습을 시작할 수 있는 구체적 날짜는 받지 못하였습니다.  구체적 날짜를 받는 즉시 여러분께 알려드리겠습니다. 그동안 학교는 우리가 할 수 있는 일에 최선을 다할 것이고, 계속해서 학교 운영이 개시될 때 필요한 여러 사항들을 검토하여 순조롭게 일이 진행되도록 노력할 것입니다.

이 어려운 상황을 함께 해주시고 또한  지속적인 이해와 인내를 보여주시는 여러분께 깊이 감사드립니다.
