为了在21世纪激烈的市场竞争中脱颖而出，包括学校在内的各组织必须充分利用员工的技能、知识、能力和经验。研究表明，对人力资本的投资可以提高组织的绩效表现，这包括提高团队运作效率、降低员工流动率和提高创新能力。[1]通过优先招聘，提供获得专业知识培训的机会，宣传积极自信的企业文化多会提高组织运作效率，取得更好的成果。[2]而这一切都将对每个孩子的教育带来正面的影响。

To succeed in the 21st century marketplace, organizations, including schools, must capitalize on the skills, knowledge, abilities, and experience of their employees. Research shows that investments in human capital improves organizational performance—including team effectiveness, employee retention, and innovation.[1] Schools that attract and develop strong teachers by prioritizing recruiting, investing in professional growth opportunities, and building positive workplace cultures tend to have greater efficiency and better outcomes.[2]  All of these have a positive impact on each child’s educational experience.

大量教育相关研究表明，从学校角度而言，教师素养是影响学生学术成就的最重要的因素。对于一名好老师应该具备的品质，大家有一定的共识。这些品质包括但不局限于：拥有相关学科的专业知识，对专业领域的深造富有激情，协同合作，应时而变，参与互动，富有同理心，善于反思和关爱他人。此外，宁波诺德安达学校的理想教师候选人是以学生为中心的终身学习者，认同学校的使命和价值观，并渴望充分利用为教职工和学生提供的众多机会不断提升自己。

Numerous educational studies have concluded that teacher quality is the most important in-school factor related to students’ academic success. Everyone has common agreements as to what makes a great teacher. These qualities include, but are certainly not limited to, subject knowledge and passion, collaborative, adaptable, engaging, empathetic, reflective and caring. Further, the ideal teaching candidate is a student-centered, life-long learner, philosophically aligned with the mission and the values of NAS Ningbo, and eager to take advantage of the many opportunities provided for both students and staff.

At NAS Ningbo, we believe it is important to provide our teachers with opportunities to build their skillset and gradually increase their responsibilities. We also believe it is important to implement professional learning opportunities that support teachers’ growth over time. These are reasons why NAS Ningbo is able to recruit exceptional teachers.

We are very pleased to share with you the profiles of the new teachers who will join us the next school year. We look forward to working with them and learning from them. Each brings a skillset that will support and develop our students.

Sam拥有伦敦帝国理工学院和玛丽皇后大学授予的物理学学士学位和硕士学位，并获得了伦敦大学学院（UCL）教育学院的教育学研究生证书。Sam于1996年开始他的教师职业生涯，是一位经验丰富且充满活力的中学物理和数学老师。他在英国，加拿大，澳大利亚和新西兰都是已注册的教师，同时也是IB认证教师。

Sam has both Bachelor and Master degree in Physics, awarded by Imperial College London and Queen Mary University each, as well as the Postgraduate Certificate in Education from UCL Institute of Education. Started his teaching career in 1996, Sam is an experienced and dynamic Physics and Mathematics Teacher for secondary learners. He is the registered teacher in UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and certified in IB.

Robert有着十二年的从教经验，为学生教授各个领域的学术英语。英语教师之外，他也担任过学术主任、雅思考官、英语学科主任等职务。Robert自2016年起在北京人大附中朝阳分校任教，现正管理一支由19名外籍教师组成的教学团队，为学生提供包括文学，全球视野和研究以及母语和第二语言的英语教学。

Robert has twelve years’ experience in education and has delivered all areas of English for Academic Purposes to students. Served not only as an English Teacher, but also as the Academic Director, IELTS examiner, Head of English Faculty etc. He has been teaching in RDFZ Chaoyang ALC since 2016, managing a team of 19 expat teachers to delivery English including Literature, Global Perspectives and Research, and First and Second Language English.

Elizabeth拥有教育学研究生学历，并且从事英语学科的教学已有八年多。在河内负责为参加剑桥体系考试的VAS学校学生教授英语后，她于2018年来到中国，担任上海协和双语学校（SUIS）的中学英语老师。既是英语教师也是课程设计者的Elizabeth已经帮助了许多学生成功完成雅思、托福以及英国中学和大学的入学考试。

Elizabeth holds the Postgraduate Certificate in Education and has been teaching English language for more than eight years. After prepared students in Vietnam Australia bilingual School Hanoi to take the Cambridge exams by teaching, she came to China in 2018 to take the post as a middle school English teacher in Shanghai United International School. As an English Teacher as well as a curriculum designer, she has helped successfully many students prepare for the IELTS and the TOEFL tests as well as entrance exams to British secondary schools and universities.

周菁老师，上海名师，持有中学德育高级教师职称，在加入宁波诺德安达学校之前，在上海市示范性中学任教二十余年，曾获上海市劳动模范、上海市教书育人楷模、上海市十佳班主任等荣誉称号。周老师对教育工作有极大热忱，性格开朗，视野开阔，对学生管理和教师团队管理有着独到的见解。

Ms. Jenny has senior title of Secondary School Teaching. Before joining Nord Anglia School, Ningbo, she has been teaching in a senior middle school in Shanghai for more than 20 years. She has been awarded the honorary titles of Shanghai Model worker, Shanghai Model teacher and Shanghai Top ten Class teacher. Ms. Zhou has great enthusiasm for education. She is cheerful and has a broad vision. And she has unique views on student management and teacher team management.

陆超老师在国内双语学校有超10年的教学经验及毕业班教学经验，同时是世界汉诗协会会员。陆老师授课幽默风趣，通晓中学语文课程体系，深谙学生思维模式，擅长培养学生学习兴趣，激发学生潜力，帮助学生拓展文学知识，提升文化底蕴，所授学生多人在国内文学比赛中获奖。

Mr. Lu Chao has over 10 years teaching experience in bilingual schools in China. And he is the World's Chinese Poetry Association member. Mr. Lu is a humorous teacher in class, he has a good knowledge of secondary school Chinese curriculum system, understands students' thinking mode. He is good at cultivating students' learning interest, stimulate students' potential, to help students develop knowledge of literature and promote culture. He taught many students carried off the prize of the Literature competition.
