万源教师 绝不简单 | 喜获全国啦啦操竞赛第一名的教练员们 Versatile XieHe

章旭：是高效协作的师生团队促成了这支啦啦操队的建立与成功。

章旭老师，2016从华东师大体育教育专业毕业后，便加入了协和。因为她的专业方向就是啦啦操，于是2018年小学部啦啦操校队成立之初，她就顺理成章的担任了啦啦操校队的教练员。

Ms. Zhang Xu has joined SUIS in 2016, after graduating from PE major of East China Normal University. Since her focus of study was cheerleading dance, when the primary school cheerleading team was first established in 2018, she successfully became a coach of the team.

章老师坦言，这一年多来，啦啦操校队面对的困难和挑战不断。第一年备赛闵行区比赛时，因为隔离，两位教练员被迫在分隔很远的地方各自带着孩子们进行训练。第二年全国大赛备赛时，啦啦操队又面临着学生年级分布不均、人数众多和队员基础差异性大等新问题。但是，通过老师们不断的辛勤付出，也得到了校方领导的大力支持，这些困难都被一一克服。

Ms. Zhang said frankly, the cheerleading team has faced many challenges over the past year. When preparing for the Cheerleading Competition in Minhang District during the first year, two coaches had to undergo training in two different and remote locations. Later in the second year when they were training for the National Cheerleading Grand Prix, the team was also faced with knotty problems such as uneven distribution of students’ grades, large number of team members, and varying levels of the members’ basic skills. Nonetheless, through the persevering hard work of the teachers and the strong support of the school, all these difficulties have been eventually overcome.

在全国赛比赛当天，有两位同学是带伤上阵的，还有几位些学生是考完PET（剑桥通用英语考试）立刻赶往比赛现场。但是因为孩子们们平时刻苦训练，关键时刻高度的集体荣誉感，以及家长志愿者在整个备赛和比赛过程中的高度支持，终于为我们学校捧回了第一名。

On the day of the National Grand Prix, two students came to the competition with injuries, and a few others showed up right after their PET tests. Even so, they still honorably won the first prize of the competition, which could not have been achieved if not for the their daily hard work in training, their sense of honor at critical moments, and the sustaining support of the volunteering parents before and during the competition.

章老师介绍，如今随着啦啦操队的壮大，小学部已形成了一支认真负责、富有热情的专业教练团队。团队中，向英老师负责校内的沟通协调，章旭老师负责动作的教授编排及与家长的沟通，新加入的范伟伟老师则会协助训练等各项事宜。在团队精神的作用下，三位老师各司其职，配合到位地完成为期一个月的强化训练。

Today, as the primary school cheerleading team continues to grow, its coaches have also formed a passionate and responsible coaching team, in which Ms. Xiang is in charge of communication in school, Ms. Zhang is responsible for the arrangement and teaching of cheerleading performance, and the new coach, Mr. Fan, takes care of other affairs including training. They all work as a perfect team and work hard every day to complete the month-long training.

正是这样的配合无形中培养了小学部啦啦操队的团结精神，并努力自觉地维护团队的集体荣誉，自觉地以团队的整体声誉为重来认真对待训练，每一个手位都力求准确，每一个动作都干净利落，每一个队形都高度统一。

It is through such great collaboration and the “esprit de corps” that the team has successfully developed a shared belief of collective identity. Motivated as a team, every single member is earnestly dedicated to each training occasion, striving to make every hand position precise, every movement neat, and every formation impeccably aligned.

Coach Xiang: “It is the versatile and colorful sports activities of SUIS Wanyuan that ultimately foster the sportsmanship in our students.”

Ms. Xiang Ying joined SUIS in 2011. Over the years at SUIS Wanyuan, she has fully incorporated the multicultural educational philosophy of XieHe in her daily teaching, while constantly improving her own professional competency and harmoniously collaborating with foreign teachers. As the head of PE, she highly values teamwork, effectively helps other teachers to reach their full potential, and, in effect, leads the team to grow rapidly.

Coach Fan: It is the inclusive and open cultural climate of our school that makes us unite, understand, and love each other

Mr. Fan Weiwei recently joined SUIS in September 2019. It was time for the renewal of the coaching team members, so Mr. Fan, with a little worry and encouragement from his leader, took the position of assistant coach of the cheerleading team.
