Michael Brown

音乐负责人

Michael毕业于达丁顿艺术学院，获得音乐学士学位，并在英国威尔士大学获得了教育研究生资格证书（PGCE）。Michael 是一位声乐大师，拥有专业声乐八级认证，同时还获得了法国圆号八级和钢琴演奏最高级别的资格认证，参与过很多音乐专辑的录制。他还曾参加过很多唱诗班的演出，其中包括伊顿公学的鲁道夫唱诗班 (Rudolfus Choir) ，并在乡村管弦乐团演奏法国圆号，与唱诗班和乐队在美国和奥地利等地进行巡回演出。

Michael拥有20多年在国际学校和双语学校进行音乐教学的经验。他相信，为孩子们提供一个充满关怀的教育环境，让他们发现文化的多样性，并把他们培养成德才兼备的新一代，这是全面教育的关键。Michael独有的教学方法和经验，是基于他的对教育和音乐的信念，他坚信，音乐教育可以使年轻人能够跨越文化的差异，开拓思维与眼界，了解多元文化的内涵和价值，成为海纳百川的全球公民。

Michael：我对创办新的学校充满热情，在那里我可以帮助学生培养对音乐的热爱。我很喜欢中国学生，也很享受在中国的学校任教，并且期望在 NACIS宁波延续这一热情。

Michael：双语教育是指以学生的母语和另一门语言（通常为英语）为学生授课。这种教学方式在强调母语重要性的同时，为学生提高英语水平提供了机会。我可以借此机会了解学生的母语文化，学生也可以借此机会了解西方文化。

Michael：在第一年，我希望帮助学生们建立对音乐的喜爱，进而让他们自信地在音乐会上进行表演。将课堂重点放在歌唱和合奏上将有助于促进他们对音乐的热爱。

Michael：我在海外已经工作了十九年。中国是一个多元化并且充满激情的国家，我已经在这里从教七年。在这七年中，我最难忘的时刻是我在圣诞节游览了北京，那时几乎没有任何游客，我可以领略这个城市的一切。

Michael：在过去的几年里，我一直与中方老师合作。有一位汉语口语流利的老师共同教学有助于学生更加完整地对课堂教学内容和课堂准备，同时利用最好的教学方法帮助学生培养批判性思维和独立学习能力。

Michael graduated from Dartington College of Arts with a Bachelor degree in music. He gained a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from University of Wales. He has sung with many choirs, including the Rudolfus Choir based at Eton College and have been involved in various recordings, and played the French horn in county orchestras and toured America and Austria with choirs and bands. His main instrument is voice, where he studied it past grade 8 to degree level. Michael also plays French horn grade 8 and piano to a high level.

Michael has more than 20-years music teaching experience both in international schools and bilingual schools globally. He believes that to provide a caring educational environment where individual and global integrity is nurtured and the discovery of cultural diversity regarded as key to holistic education. His approach to teaching is underpinned by his conviction that the study of Music empowers young people to think beyond the perspectives and values of their own cultures and conditioning, and to become global citizens who recognise similarity and celebrate difference.

Michael: I have a passion for starting up new international schools, where I can help students create a love of music. I have already enjoyed teaching Chinese students in international schools and I look forward to continuing this at NACIS.

Michael: Bilingual Education is where a student will be taught in their mother tongue and another, usually English. It is an opportunity for a student to improve their English, whilst at the same time keeping the importance of their mother tongue. For myself, it is a chance to learn about their culture and for the students to learn about western culture.

Michael：During the first year, I would like the students to enjoy music and perform in a concert. A strong focus on singing and ensemble work in the classroom will help to promote their love of music.

Michael：I have been overseas for nineteen years. China is a varied and passionate country where I have taught for seven years already and my most memorable moment was when I visited Beijing at Christmas when there were hardly any tourists and I could see everything.

Michael: During the last few years I have already been working with a co – teacher. Having a fluent Chinese speaking teacher helps with a student’s understanding and class preparation, whilst at the same time using best teaching methods to help the students become critical thinkers and independent learners.
