跟着节气去探究 Following the Solar Term to Explore

冬至是中国农历中一个重要的节气，也是中华民族的一个传统节日。在节气来临之际，万源协和的冬至文化课程周也拉开了帷幕。

Winter solstice is an important solar term in the Chinese lunar calendar and it is also a traditional festival of the Chinese nation. With the coming of this solar term, the Winter Solstice Culture Curriculum Week of SUIS Wanyuan also kicked off.

WINTER SOLSTICE

一年级 G1

寒冬时节，一股别具神韵、清逸优雅的香味飘散在空气中，那不正是不畏寒冷、傲然绽放的梅花么？美术课上，一年级的孩子们仔细观察着梅花枝干的图片，在黑色卡纸上勾勒梅花枝干，用白色蜡笔绘制树干的图案，感受梅花坚毅的品质。伴随着《数九歌》的清脆朗读声，孩子们知道了冬至到来年春分之间气候变化情况，同时也了解到了一些农事活动的规律。

In winter time, there is special and elegant fragrance flowing in the air. That is the scent of wintersweet, which is not afraid of chill and still bursts into bloom. In the Art lesson, grade 1 children carefully observed the picture of wintersweets’ branches and felt their quality of perseverance. With the reading sound of Counting to Nine, children learnt how the climate changes between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. They also knew more about the rule of farming activities.

二年级 G2

冬至如此重要，那古时候在皇宫里这一天是什么样的景象呢？二年级的孩子们在探究课堂上进行了深入探究。原来，皇帝会在冬至祭天，祈求来年安泰，丰收；皇宫中会喝羊汤，吃饺子和馄饨面来庆祝冬至；从冬至这一天起，宫中乃至民间都会画九九消寒图来作消遣，期盼春天。作为中华民族的一份子，我们也要将我国的传统文化继续发扬光大。

Winter Solstice is so important. Then in ancient times, how was the view in the palace on this day? Grade 2 students explored this in depth in their inquiry lesson. Actually the emperor would pray to the sky to wish for stability, peace, and rich harvest in the coming year. In the palace, people would eat lamb soup, dumplings, wonton and noodles to celebrate Winter Solstice. Starting from Winter Solstice, people in palace as well as ordinary citizens would all draw Counting to Nine to entertain and look forward to spring. As a member of the Chinese nation, we must carry forward our traditional culture.

三年级 G3

二十四节气，是根据地球在黄道上的位置变化而制定的。三年级的数学课堂上，孩子们跟随老师一起了解到：二十四节气是通过观察太阳周年运动，从而知晓一年中时令、气候等方面的变化规律。文化课堂上，孩子们在诗歌品读与赏析中了解到了不同地域的冬至习俗。

The 24 solar terms are set according to the earth's position on the ecliptic. In the math class of grade 3, the children learned together with the teacher that the 24 solar terms are known by observing the annual movement of the sun, so as to know the changing rule of time, climate, phenology and other aspects of the year. In culture classes, children learnt about the customs of winter solstice in different regions through poetry reading and appreciation.

四年级 G4

再看看四年级的孩子们，不仅在体育课上玩蹴鞠，还在食堂里体验了包饺子，观看了示范后，孩子们自己动起手来，一捏一按，个个脸上都洋溢着欢乐的笑容，在这充满乐趣的氛围中，包出的饺子也会格外美味吧！

Look at the grade 4 children, they not only played Chinese football in the PE class, but also experienced making dumplings by themselves in the canteen. After watching the demonstration, the children moved their hands with a pinch and a press. All the faces were filled with happy smile. In this fun atmosphere, handmade dumplings would also be especially delicious!

五年级 G5

五年级作为小学阶段的最高年段，选择了年糕展开教学。钱锋老师带来的讲座《说点吃的很重要》深深吸引学生。体育课上玩“年糕游戏”。道法课上比一比“天下年糕知多少”，文化课探寻“中国年糕之乡”，数学课挖掘“年糕的价值”，美术课尝试“年糕图案”，探究课进行“年糕文化对比”，体验课亲手制作美食、品尝美食……这一系列的文化浸润教学，让孩子们更加深入地认识了冬至。
