Mother's Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society.

母亲节，是一个感谢母亲、向母亲和母爱致敬的节日。

The modern Mother's Day began in the United States, at the initiative of Ann Reeves Jarvis in the early 20th century. It is on the second Sunday in May.

现代母亲节来源于美国，由Ann Reeves Jarvis发起，5月的第二个周日是母亲节。

上周在上实国际部的校园内，我们分年级开展了母亲节英语活动。学生运用老师提供的词组和句型，自由组合或创新。

Last Friday, students in SESID used the materials teachers offered to customize their own special work for Moms.

三年级：学生请妈妈打开一朵花，一起回味温馨时光。因为他们在花瓣上写下了6件最喜欢和妈妈一起做的事。

The third graders made special flowers for their Mom. They wrote down 6 favourtie things to do with their mom on petals.

四年级: “给妈妈的优惠券” Coupon flowerpots for Mom to pick.

曾经是妈妈为我们操劳，这次孩子把花盆里装满鲜花：让妈妈从花盆里抽花朵签兑奖哦！有洗碗，整理床，倒垃圾等家务，也有拥抱，亲吻和捶背等爱的表达。

同学们特意选了妈妈爱的色彩做背景，并进行美化。

Mom has done a lot for us and it’s the high time for children to repay their mom with the thoughtful gifts. Children designed special flower coupons such as taking out the trash ,a back rub and a big hug . Some students picked Mom’s favourite color as the background.

五年级：五年级学生自选了材料制作来表达独特的心意，有标签书 3 favorite memories of mommy and me are…可以在Iphone上妈妈的画像draw mom’s selfie 或者用转盘式折叠书写爱妈妈的理由I like my mom because… 也有回忆美好时光的 My 6 favourite things to do with mom.

The fifth graders chose the slides to customize their own special work for Mother's Day.
