“向最美逆行者致敬”——记八年级英语学科线上学习“我眼中的抗疫英雄”小组活动

The recent novel coronavirus has run wild all over the world. 

In our motherland, China, to lower negative consequences of this pandemic, heroes arise from all fields in our society.

Grade Eight students in WFLA have reviewed their great feat and dedication. 

They collaborated together and expressed their in-depth points of view in the ‘The hero in my eyes’ videos. 

By fully utilizing their writing, acting as well as editing skill, their videos showed the life of heroes in the fight against virus.

Medical staff from all over the country provided remedial aid in Wuhan day and night. 

Medical waste disposal workers dealt with a large amount of hygienic waste without having a rest every day. 

Journalists with a willing and courage collected the latest news on the frontline. 

Even those ordinary people around us were in the battlefield as well. 

The stories of take-away deliverers and volunteers formed by local residents were depicted. 

The stories about their family members who donated money and equipment to the citizens and medical staff in need in Wuhan were also told.

Working on the ‘Heroes’ videos made us students know more about the world and also about ourselves. 

By truly appreciating the heroes, we can see that everyone in society has the significance and obligation. 

We need to devote ourselves to greater good.

     世外八年级学子线下复课已有数日，而在线上学习阶段，他们以小组合作的形式制作了以“我眼中的抗疫英雄”为主题的视频，向疫情期间的最美逆行者致敬。在这个活动中，同学们通过搜集素材、整合素材，并加以融入自我观点的配音旁白，以多角度、多元化的方式呈现了疫情期间的社会热点并加深了对其的认知与了解。虽然坐在家中，但是同学们的心却挣脱了地点上的束缚，跳出局限，与前往武汉的英雄们一同并肩感受。

     这些视频中展现了世外学子们独特的见解和思考。有的同学有幸采访了在武汉抗战一线的医务工作人员，让我们能近距离体会现场英雄们的辛苦和伟大；有的同学模拟赴武汉采访的记者，在视频中以普通人的角度展开故事，讲述抗疫时的艰辛和危险；更有同学关注到疫情中发挥强大作用、不可或缺的女性医务工作者，并以此视频告诉我们：女性并不柔弱，她们同样是医务战场上的英雄……这些故事起承转折、扣人心弦，充分体现了平凡人身上不平凡的英雄事迹。

     通过这个活动，同学们以小组合作的形式，在线上开展积极的互动与交流，运用英语综合能力和多媒体技术支持，展现了一个又一个动人的故事。更重要的是，同学们了解了在疫情中那些参与抗疫的逆行者们舍己为人、大公无私的精神，并且认识到平凡人也能改变历史的洪流。把渺小的自己放在时间和空间交织的经纬度上的确非常微不足道，但是普通人也可以是英雄，通过大家一起的努力也可以改变很多事。

     空荡的街道和脸上的口罩注定会成为不可磨灭的回忆，但是这段时间的学习和对世界的理解也是独一无二、无法复刻的。我们的祖国，在疫情中教会了我们重要的一课。
