老师，您好Meet Our Teachers-Mr. Iain Stevens中学部副主任

Iain老师有着深厚的教育背景，对全校学生都给予帮助和关怀。他知道如何与家长和学生建立友谊，并相信通过培养这些深厚的友谊，学生在课堂上和一对一的课程中会和他有更好的互动。他“开放式”的教学方式很受学生们的欢迎，学生们觉得可以和他讨论任何关于学术的问题，或者是寻求解决家庭作业的一些建议。Iain老师非常重视保护孩子，并参加了来自英国的两个顶级课程的培训。他还获得了国际学校儿童保护证书。

在业余时间，Iain老师是一个高尔夫爱好者，还喜欢骑自行车。他喜爱中国文化并十分期待在嘉兴诺德安达的全新旅程。

Mr. Iain has a strong background in the pastoral care of students across the school. He understands how to build these relationships with both parents and pupils and believes by fostering these strong ties pupils respond better to him both in the classroom and during one to one sessions. His open door policy is well liked by pupils who feel they can talk to him about any academic concerns or just seek advice on a way in which to solve a homework issue. Iain takes safeguarding very seriously and has attended training by two of the top providers from the UK. He has also obtained the Child Protection for International Schools Certificate. 

During his spare time, Iain is a keen golfer and enjoys cycling. He loves Chinese culture and is looking forward to a new journey in Jiaxing Nord Anglia.

The opportunity to work for one of the finest educational establishments in the world at a brand new start up school is exciting. To be with this school from the very beginning will enable me to have an impact on not only the teaching and learning strategies but the pastoral issues that will all play a major impact on our pupil’s education. I am looking forward to promoting a holistic approach to education that will produce a well rounded learner enabling them to flourish in later life .

Bilingual education is where learning takes place in two languages. In the case of NAS Jiaxing, this will be Mandarin and English. One of the things that attracted me to the position is the dual language set up which will allow my students to pursue bilingual in greater detail and depth.

我已经在国际学校工作了20多年，在英国、马来西亚和日本的学校里积累了丰富的经验。在此期间，我担任过从课堂教师到高级领导的各类职务，并在一些知名的老牌学校建立了全新的学习部门。这段经历将使我能够帮助从我们的学生获得最好的学习，并为未来的终身学习打下基础。

I have worked in schools now for over 20 years gaining experience in the UK Malaysia and Japan. During this time I have held positions from classroom teacher to senior leader and set up brand new learning departments in established schools. This experience will enable me to be able to help extract the best learning from our secondary cohort and set them up for future of lifelong learning.

我在国外教了10多年书，有很多奇妙的经历。当我回顾我以前的三所学校时，每一所都带来了特别的回忆，我将会非常珍惜我接下来的教学生涯。在我的第一所国际学校遇到我的妻子是我非常感激的事情，考虑到她是中国人，去到中国工作的想法一直都在我心里！

Having been teaching abroad for over 10 years, I have many wonderful experience to relate to. When I look back on my three previous schools, each one bring special memories flooding back that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Meeting my wife in my first international school is something I am so grateful for and considering she is Chinese, the thought of working in China was always in my mind！
