爱，因为在心中|上海诺德安达合唱团在线合唱Love within our hearts|NACIS online chorus

上海诺德安达双语学校的合唱团在这个特殊的时期，为大家带来了在线合唱《爱，因为在心中》，向因受疫情影响、现身处世界各地的诺德安达大家庭“唱“以最真挚的问候。

“我们坚信音乐的力量”，发起人Sarah老师在合唱团线上留言空间说到，“让我们用爱一起来传递温暖和力量吧！“

活动倡议发出仅一天不到，就陆续收到了孩子们的踊跃投稿。

参加此次合唱的共有23名来自上海诺德安达合唱团的同学们，他们来自小学部与中学部各个年级。能和自己的团员们在“云”上以这样一个特殊的形式带来这场与众不同的表演，同学们都难掩激动之情。

有的同学带来了吉他弹唱，有的同学用钢琴伴奏，还有的同学用手语来表达心中的爱，这些精心打磨的表演都让我们感受到了阵阵暖意。

During this special challenging period, NACIS choir brought the online chorus of the song Love is in our Hearts to Nord Anglia schools all over the world, delivering their sincere greetings to those places affected by the epidemic.

“We believe in the power of music,” Ms. Sarah, the initiator said on the choir’s online message space, “Let’s deliver warmth and power with love!”

Less than one day after the initiative was launched, children signed up actively one after another.

This time, 23 primary and secondary students from NACIS choir joined in the chorus. They come from different grades. Students were really excited to perform with their fellows in such a peculiar form online.

Some students played guitar while singing. Some sang with piano accompaniment while others used sign language to express their profound love. The exquisite performance brought us warmth and hope.

合唱团Sarah老师说，以这样的方式将合唱团的同学们再次聚集到一起，是一次不可多得的难忘体验。我们想让同学们知道，这个世界上正在发生的每一件事情都与我们息息相关，作为世界公民的一员，我们也可以用这样一个特殊的方式去表达爱；用行动去传递正能量；向那些在这段特殊时期为我们负重前行的人们道一声：谢谢，你们辛苦了！

作为一所十二年一贯制学校，中学与小学部时常以多动多样的形式进行互动，例如这次的在线合唱，以及前不久在世界儿童日上的儿童权益交流讲座、及PinkDay反霸凌周中的暖心书签交换。这不仅能够帮助所有年龄段的孩子发展沟通与社交技能，也在学生之间营造出了团队意识。

According to Ms. Sarah, it was an unforgettable experience to gather the students together in this way. Students should keep in mind that what is happening in the world is closely related to us. As a global citizen, we can express our love and care in this special way. We can take actions to transfer positive energy. We would like to show gratitude to those who made contributions fearlessly during this special period: thank you for your hard work!

As a 12-year school, NACIS enables its primary and secondary students to interact with each other in a variety of ways. The online chorus this time, the recent World Children’s Day lecture on children’s rights and the warm bookmark exchange during the PinkDay Anti-bullying Week are all examples. These activities not only help children of all ages develop communication and social skills, but also help them develop their team spirit.

在NACIS，我们将音乐作为载体，构建起全人教育的目标。

通过这次云合唱，同学们在没有老师面对面的帮助下，自学歌曲，演唱的各个细节都学着自己把控，在音乐知识方面有了更深的探索；为了使表演形式更加丰富多彩，同学们在线上交流心得，互相启发，也是对团队精神的又一次提高。

在NACIS合唱团，音乐不再是枯燥的课本知识，而是一个激发学生全面发展的重要载体。而在NACIS，还有更多ECA（课外互动），同样从不同方面锻炼孩子的综合素养。

At NACIS Shanghai, based on music, we build the target of holistic education.

The online chorus this time enabled students to learn to sing a song without face-to-face helps from teachers. They had to pay attention to all details while singing on their own. They explored more deeply into the music knowledge. In order to make the performance more colorful, students exchanged their ideas online and inspired each other, which once again enhanced their team spirit.

At NACIS choir, music is not confined to knowledge on textbooks. Instead, it has become a crucial way to stimulate students’ all-round development.

目前，基于诺德安达教育集团的平台，我们的音乐、舞蹈及戏剧课程均由美国茱莉亚音乐学校与我们共同开发，这些世界级的教学资源，将帮助我们的学生更好的了解表演艺术，陶冶情操并提升修养，让音乐成为伴随一生的朋友。

在九月份二期校园投入使用后，我们将为孩子提供更多高水准表演艺术课程的配套硬件设施，例如可以容纳550名学生共同使用的剧院，全新的录音房，音乐排练教室等等。我们鼓励每一个孩子勇于表达自己，站上心中梦想的舞台。

学校愿为所有孩子提供平台，为学生们提供丰富多彩的校园活动，帮助他们发现并发展自己的兴趣爱好，最终使得每一个孩子成为更加出色的自己。

At present, thanks to the platform offered by NAE, our music, dance and drama courses are developed on the basis of the collaboration between Julliard from the US and our school. The world-class resources will help our students to better understand performing arts. They can cultivate their tastes and develop their music literacy, thus making music their lifelong friend.

 In September, when phase 2 is open to public, we will provide children with more high-quality facilities for performing arts including a 550-seat theatre, music studios and a musical rehearsal room. We encourage every student to stand on the stage, express themselves and realize their dreams.

Our school is willing to provide students with a platform, aiming at letting them discover their own hobbies outside and become better selves through colorful school life.
