惠灵顿学子再创佳绩

今年7月天津惠灵顿国际学校13年级毕业生的IB成绩超过了世界平均分数，其中Paul和Sang Yeun的成绩超过了40分。紧随其后的一位学生成绩也超过了38分。全体13年级毕业生拿到了重点大学的录取通知书，其中包括罗素大学集团（Russell Group：有英国常春藤联盟之称）和常青藤联盟下属的一流大学。紧随其后11年级和12年级学生也传来喜讯，在GCSE和AS考试中取得骄人成绩：

11年级学生的个人成绩也非常优秀。Celia各科成绩全部获得A*，这是学校有史以来的第一人。 在13年级A-Level 结业考试举行之前，作为A-Level课程第一年结业成绩的AS，Lotus拿到了多个科目的A，41%的学生成绩都达到了A。这个结果，对于13级毕业生申请大学很有帮助，并使得学生有可能获得超一流大学的录取通知书，比如牛津大学。 学校一直以来都在强调并督导高年级学生（Sixth Form）发展广泛兴趣、积极参加社团活动，这些记录能够为申请优秀大学助力。

Another outstanding Year of GCSE Results

This July our Year 13 IB results exceeded world averages, with two students achieving over 40 points, a third averaging over 38, and all our Year 13 Leavers receiving confirmation of proceeding to leading universities and higher education institutions across the world, including the Russell Group and Ivy League. We are also very pleased to share with you now the excellent GCSE and AS results our Year 11 and 12 students recently received. The Year 11 GCSE headline grade achievements are:

Individual performances were uniformly strong across the Year 11 group, and Celia became the College’s first pupil to get a full set of A* grades in all her subjects.

In terms of AS grades, the interim results before the final Year 13 A-Level exams this year, Lotus achieved a full set of A Grades, and 41% of our students’ grades were at grade A. This bodes very favourably for Year 13 university applications, with these students aiming this year for some of the very best destinations, including Oxford and Cornell. We regularly stress to our Sixth Form students the considerable importance, in their applications to the best international universities, of giving evidence of a range of worthwhile interests and activities.
