小球手们再创佳绩！Congratulations to Our Community Sport Teams!

自我校成立以来，我们的学校共同体不断发展壮大。今天，我们想和大家隆重介绍学校的高尔夫球队和冰球队。这两支球队目前是由我校热心的家长引领，并不断发展壮大。每周，家长们不畏路途遥远，为孩子创造机会，倾注大量精力培养孩子们昂扬的斗志和远大的志向。我们的教学团队也非常乐于支持并参与其中。

高尔夫球队赛事 

国庆长假期间，我校19名高尔夫球员参加了第五届“遥顺杯”高尔夫校际对抗赛。本次比赛吸引了上海市的80所学校，192名青少年好手争夺比赛。参赛人数之多和参赛水平之高再创历史纪录。经过7天的激烈争夺，比赛结果到最后一天下午才得以揭晓。我校小学队9名同学以127杆的总成绩蝉联小学组亚军， 我校初中队10名同学以129杆的总成绩蝉联初中组冠军。五年级吴家乐同学、许涵哲同学和王冠杰同学分别获得小学组男子单人第二名、第六名和第十名的好成绩；七年级郑千羽同学，蔡雨默同学，和八年级榆树班杭顺祺同学，分别获得初中组男子单人第二名、第五名和第六名的好成绩。我们向所有参加比赛的同学们表示祝贺，希望小球手们在未来的比赛中志存高远，再创佳绩！

选手获奖感言：

10月21日周日，上海国际学校冰球友谊杯决赛在松江国际滑冰场隆重举行。尽管在之前一周的开幕赛中，我们的选手经历了一个艰难的开端，但大家并没有因此被击退，相反，同学们更加努力团结一致。本次比赛前，我们两次邀请外籍教练为选手们安排队内赛和训练。由于队伍刚刚组建一个多月，作为新成立的球队，队员缺乏经验和配合。然而，我们的球员却表现出了坚韧不拔的精神，在没有聘请外援的情况下，秉承着人人参与的精神，每位小队员都上场拼搏，并收获了多粒进球。
 
在早上的小组赛中，我们的对手颇为强大，我们的小选手们屏足精神，全力以赴去迎接挑战。尽管我们最终以5比8落败，但从中也学到了宝贵的经验。 

 
该场比赛结束后，我校Nick先生表示，他被学生们展现出的勇气和不畏强敌的精神所打动。同学们是学校的骄傲。Nick先生还来到了队员们的休息室，为他们加油鼓劲。学生和家长都感受到了学校对他们的支持，从而倍感温暖、信心十足。

 
下午比赛开始前，由我校学生组成的啦啦队来到了现场。他们的到来将整场比赛推向了高潮。国际学校的老师们对我校专业热情的啦啦队做出了很高的评价，媒体还对此进行了报道。接下来的比赛中，我们的球员都全神贯注，展现了优秀的团队合作，最终以10比0的比分大胜对手。
 
在欢呼的海洋里，本次决赛以我校的胜利告终。小队员们通过努力赢得了其他国际学校的尊重。最终，我们获得了奖杯——这虽然远远超出了我们的预期，但我们当之无愧。主办方还为我校冰球队颁发了奖章。

两场比赛的优秀球员分别是来自四年级的毛靖博同学和池天开同学。在此，让我们对同学们的精彩表现表示祝贺！

NACIS Shanghai already demonstrates an amazing community that has developed since the school opened. The two we would like to focus on today are our Community Golf and Community Ice Hockey teams. These two teams have been developed with the NACIS name but now completely led by enthusiastic parents who travel hundreds of miles each week to facilitate their children’s passions and ambitions, investing in these opportunities for their children. Our teaching community also enjoys supporting and being part of these.

Community Golf 

During the National Day break, NACIS golf team, comprising of 19 NACIS primary and secondary students, took part in the fifth Yaoshun Youth Cup Golf Tournament, which attracted 80 schools and 192 junior golfers in Shanghai. In this 7-days breathtaking competition, the final winners didn’t come out until the last minute. Our 9 primary students were runners up in the primary division while the 10 secondary students were the victorious champions of the junior high division. Jiale Wu, Kevin Xu, and Henry Wang from Grade 5 ranked No. 2, No. 6 and No. 10 respectively among all primary boys, while Ronald Zheng, Bruce Cai from Grade 7, and Wiley Hang from Grade8, ranked No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6 among all secondary boys. We would like to congratulate all students participating in the competition on their outstanding achievement, and hope they could keep up the excellent work in the future tournaments. Be ambitious!

 
Acceptance Speech：

Shanghai International School Ice Hockey Friendship Cup Final was held on Sunday 21 October at the SongJiang international skating rink in Shanghai. After a tough start to the matches the weekend before, NACIS' players worked harder to unite instead of being defeated, inviting foreign teachers twice in the middle of the week for in-team matches and training. As the first school to team up for the competition, the team being less than two months old, they had little experience and a lack of opportunity to cooperate together. However, our players showed their perseverance without hiring external assistance，adhering to the spirit of unity that everyone involved had, and each young player played hard and they scored lots of goals.

The morning's group match on that day, against a strong team - four years into their senior year, the NACIS team were ready to try and fighting with all their might. The spectators were tense and shouting and the final score was set at 5:8 and NACIS was defeated, but just by a little by a strong experienced team.

Mr. Nick said after the match that he was touched by the spirit of bravery and bravery of the young players who did not give up in the face of strong enemies. Such achievements are the pride of all NACIS. He entered the players’ lounge to encourage the youngsters, who with their families felt warm and confident about the school's support for the team.

In the afternoon before the match, the cheerleading team made up of NACIS students also arrived at the scene. A section of cheerleading pushed the whole game to the climax. All colleagues of international schools gave high comments on our professional and enthusiastic cheerleading, which was widely reported by the media. Then in the match, our team was united as one. All the players were on the field. Our team ended up with a 10:0 mark.

Cheering on the NACIS's victory, the final ended with the first match won, and the young players gained respect from other international schools with their efforts. We won the team CUP - beyond our dreams but it was well deserved. And a medal presentation made to the NACIS Community Ice-Hockey team.

The best athletes from the two competitions were David Mao and Tank Chi from Grade 4 respectively. Great work boys!
