In our previous article, we shared how students supported the battle against COVID-19 in a creative way, and we showcased some of their impressive original works. In this article, let's take a look at some more examples of our students' outstanding creativity.

This is an excerpt from the Song Dynasty Poet Li Zhiyi's "I live by the Yangtze River's Head." The three sentences here have a different meaning than in the original poem: Here, they express the idea that the Chinese people are all in this battle against the coronavirus together, and that this solidarity will help them prevail. All those who have been on the front lines of the battle, especially medical workers, will be honoured and we will triumph over the virus! Go Wuhan! Go China!

In this war, our love must be stronger than the virus. With love, we can protect ourselves against the virus, no matter how fierce it may be. Ultimately, we will triumph and honour the white-clad angels. They are the loveliest people of all. V has four meanings: 1. Virus; 2. Achieve victory; 3. Vs, meaning "against the virus,"; and 4, the angel in white who defeats the virus.

During the epidemic, brave medical staff, under tremendous pressure and facing imminent danger, charged to the front line, doing their best to contain the contagion. The video uses the gentle, inspirational "Until Dawn" as background music to pay tribute to each and every medical staff member who has helped us battle COVID-19.

Young people fighting against discrimination
During winter vacation, Year 10 student Zoey established a group to fight discrimination, which Chinese people overseas have faced since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus began. Naming the group "I'm not a virus," Zoey and her fellow students believed that they could use the power of the internet, with its broad reach, to oppose discrimination against those infected with the virus overseas. They found many enthusiastic volunteers who wanted to support their cause, and the team quickly grew within a few weeks' time from 21 to 216. The team's output has been impressive: It has conducted 3 personal interviews, filmed 4 short videos, written 7 original articles, created more than 20 posters, and taken more than 70 anti-discrimination selfies. At the same time, the "I'm not a virus team" has been able to spread its positive message far and wide, reaching millions of overseas netizens, thanks to its use of five different social media platforms. In the coming days, the “I'm not a virus” organization will work hard to support overseas Chinese, using rationality and action to eliminate prejudiced thinking.
