探索音乐的魅力 Explore the Beauty of Music

10月15日，来自于茱莉亚学院的长笛手艺术家Andrea Fisher来访我校，同学们给予这位来自美国的艺术家热烈的欢迎。在多功能教室，Andrea用长笛吹奏了两首曲子，并让学生们讨论两首曲子的相似点。确切来说，两首曲子都描绘一种动物，同学们纷纷表达自己的观点，最终不少同学回答正确，那就是小鸟!

接着，Andrea向学生们介绍了四种不同的笛子: 金笛、短笛、美国传统竖笛以及中国竹笛。金笛是Andrea最珍贵的笛子，它是用金子制作而成，已经陪伴Andre超过20年。另外，在众多吹奏乐器中，短笛的音调是最高的，美国传统竖笛适合吹奏放松的音乐。最后，Andrea展示了她最近新买的中国竹笛并用它吹奏了一段音乐。其实，Andrea拥有25种不同的笛子且会吹奏任何一种。

当学生被问到自己是否会使用某种乐器的时候，他们激动且自信的回答：钢琴、吉他、小提琴、大提琴等等。虽然很多学生还处于初学者的阶段，但是他们对音乐的热情是极大的。Andrea鼓励学生们要坚持，更要相信自己，音乐是美妙的，生活会因为音乐变得更加多彩，希望学生们可以用音乐为自己和身边的人带来快乐和幸福。

最后，一年一度的万圣节即将来临，为了提前庆祝这个特别的节日，Andrea展示了一个视频，视频中Andrea穿着万圣节主题的服装，并同时演奏三种乐器：长笛、键盘以及风琴踏板。Andrea说她必须每天练习8个小时，坚持一个月，才完成视频中播放的表演。对Andrea所展现的精湛的表演，学生们给予最热烈的掌声。

此次Andrea Fisher来到宁波市奉化区诺德安达学校莅临指导，一方面加强了茱莉亚学院和诺德安达集团的紧密合作，另一方面对老师和学生是一次非常有价值的学习体验。希望学生们能够学习Andrea坚持不懈的精神，为实现自己的目标去努力。

On October 15th, we warmly welcomed the Juilliard artist Andrea Fisher to visit NAS Ningbo. In the multi-purpose room, Andrea used flute to play two music pieces and then asked the students to discuss the similarity of the two pieces. Specifically, both pieces depicted an animal, and the student expresses their own opinions. At last, quite a few students answered correctly, it was a bird!

Then, Andrea introduced four kind of flutes: golden flute, piccolo, traditional American flute, and Chinese bamboo flute. The golden flute is Andrea's most precious instrument, it is made of gold, and has been with Andrea for more than 20 years. In addition, the piccolo has the highest pitch among the various instruments. The American traditional flute is perfect to play relaxing music. Finally, Andrea showed her recently purchased Chinese bamboo flute and played a short piece. In fact, Andrea has 25 different kinds of flute and she can play all of them.

When the students were asked if they could play any kind of instrument, they responded excitedly and confidently: piano, guitar, violin, cello, etc. Although many students are still beginners, their enthusiasm for music is great. Andrea encourages students to be persistent and believe in themselves. Music is wonderful and life will be more colorful because of music. We hope that students can bring happiness to themselves and those around them through the magic of music.

Finally, this year's Halloween is coming soon and to celebrate this special occasion, Andrea played a Halloween-themed video, in which she dressed up specially and played flute, keyboard, and organ pedals at the same time. Andrea said that she had to practice eight hours a day for about a month to complete this performance. Students gave the warmest applause to Andrea, and at the same time, the active interaction indicated the respect and ambition for the music from the Nord Anglia students.

Andrea's visit to NAS Ningbo not only strengthened the close collaboration between Juilliard and Nord Anglia Education, but also brought a valuable learning experience for the teachers and students. We hope that our students can learn from Andrea's spirit of persistence and strive to achieve their goals.
