“公立常青藤”院校—特拉华大学招生官来访!University of Delaware visited NAIS!

天气渐凉，但也挡不住各大院校来访的热潮。上周有三所来自美国的院校来访，为同学们的升学之路提供了更多更好的机会。11月13日，来自美国特拉华州的University of Delaware来访我校，为诺美学生进行了一场收获颇丰的院校介绍讲座。

The weather is getting cold, but that doesn’t stop the rush of overseas universities visits. Last week, three universities from USA came to visit, providing  more and better opportunities for students to apply for universities. On November 13, University of Delaware came to visit our school, and gave a fruitful introduction lecture for our students.

University of Delaware（特拉华大学），简称UD或UDel，成立于1743年，是美国特拉华州的一所公立大学（兼有私立性质），也是该州规模最大，美国最古老的几所大学之一。该校最大的资助集团是杜邦集团，主要的资助领域是在自然科学和理工科领域，尤其是化学。

University of Delaware, or UD or UDel, was founded in 1743 and is a public ( and sometimes private) university in Delaware, one of the largest and oldest universities in Delaware. The largest financial aid group of the school is Du Pont Group, whose main financial support areas are in Natural Science, Science, and  Chemistry.

特拉华大学下设七个学院，共有超过125项主修专业和100多项辅修专业，因其卓越的精英教学及研究实力而闻名。特拉华大学师资力量雄厚，有诸多全国知名的作家、科学家、艺术家，其中包括诺贝尔奖、古根海姆奖、富布莱特奖学者，还有美国国家工程学会、美国国家科学学会以及美国科学促进会的成员。最早一批学生中包括乔治·里德、托马斯·迈克、詹姆斯·史密斯都曾是美国独立宣言的签署者。人人网的创始人王兴先生也毕业于特拉华大学。2018年Times全美第63名；2016年US News全美综合大学排名第75位；韦伯麦特里克斯（Webometrics）世界大学排名88；2016年ARWU世界大学学术排名151-200；其中化学工程学院、海洋性研究学院全美排名前10，理疗学专业全美第1，化学、城市管理等专业排名全美前10，犯罪学、公共管理、非营利组织管理以及商学院MBA均排名全美前25。

University of Delaware has seven colleges with more than 125 majors and more than 100 minor majors. It is known for its outstanding teaching and research prowess. University of Delaware has a large faculty of writers, scientists, and artists who are nationally recognized, including Nobel Prize winners, scholars of Guggenheim Fellowship and Fulbright Scholarship, as well as members of National Academy of Engineering, National Academy of Science, and American Association for the Advancement of Science. Among the first students were George Reed, Thomas Mike, and James Smith, all former signatories of The Declaration of Independence. Xing WANG, the founder  of RenRen, is also a graduate of University of Delaware. University of Delaware was ranked 63rd in 2018 USA Universities by Times, 75th in 2016 National Universities by US News, 88th in World Universities by Webometrics, 151-200 in 2016 World Universities by ARWU; the School of Chemical Engineering, the School of Oceanographic Research ranked in the top 10, Physical Therapy is the No. 1 major in USA, Chemistry, Urban Management and other majors ranked among the top 10 in USA, Criminology, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, and School of Business MBA all ranked in the top 25.

本次特拉华大学来访，主要为同学分享了学校所在的地理位置，美丽的校园，丰富的专业，多样化的学术项目，多方位的就职辅导，优越的住宿条件，美味的饮食，以及最重要的录取要求。在讲座结束后，许多学生积极踊跃与招生官交流，详细了解院校信息。

Admissions Officer of University of Delaware mainly introduced NAIS students the school's geographical location, beautiful campus, abundant majors, diversified academic projects, comprehensive resources for  career development and planning, excellent accommodation, delicious food and most importantly, application requirements. After the lecture, many students met with the Admissions Officer to learn more information of U of D.

为了能够让我校学生共享更多的海外院校资源，11月13日，我校与特拉华大学中国招生代表处所属的加诚博教签署了合作备忘录，特拉华大学招生官一起见证了这一重要时刻。加诚集团目前已经与美国，加拿大，澳大利亚，英国，新西兰，新加坡，爱尔兰等国家3000多所大学和中学建立了直接合作和代理关系，成功将海外优质的教育资源引入到国内。

In order bring more overseas university resources to NAIS students, on November 13, our school signed a memorandum of cooperation with Can-Achieve Group, which is affiliated to the China Enrollment Representative Office of the University of Delaware. At present, this Group has established direct cooperation and agency relationship with more than 3000 universities and middle schools in the United States, Canada, Australia, Britain, New Zealand, Singapore, Ireland and other countries, successfully introducing overseas high-quality educational resources into China.

University of Arizona亚利桑那大学：是美国西南最富盛名的大学之一，也是亚利桑那州的第一所大学。亚利桑那大学由于地缘因素，该校的天文、地质、地理等学科有着雄厚的科研实力，而人类学、社会学和哲学在美国也名列前茅，被誉为“公立常春藤”大学之一，同时也是美国大学协会（AAU）成员。

University of Arizona: One of the most prestigious universities in the southwestern United States and the first university in Arizona. Due to the geographic advantages, the University of Arizona has research strengths in astronomy, geology, geography and other disciplines. Anthropology, sociology and philosophy are among the best in the United States. It is known as one of the "Public Ivy" universities, and is also a member of the American Association of Universities (AAU).
