2019年5月10日，安静的大剧院忙碌了起来，原来Pioneer G5 International Fair马上要在大剧院举行，所有的五年级学生穿着各个大洲不同元素的服装，在大剧院为自己的科学展展板在做最后的布置和美化。

On May 10, 2019, the Wanyuan’s Thespis Hall became the backdrop for the rest of the world; the Pioneer G5 International Fair. Each class represented a continent and was dressed for the part, visitors had no trouble navigating between Russian Princes and Princesses, Cowboys, K-Pop stars to name a few! It was the final exhibition of months of hard work.

在四五年级学生组合成的“摇滚乐队”的热烈开场表演中，五年级科学展正式拉开了序幕！本次科学展，由探究老师主导，五年级全体学生自主探究学生，选取全球范围内最值得记录、关注和探讨的事情，分组自行在展板上书写自己天马行空的想法。

The Primary School Rock Band - made up of Grade 4 and 5 students - absolutely smashed the opening ceremony and set the atmosphere alight for the rest of the afternoon. Under mentorship from their Topic Inquiry teachers students followed their independent lines of Inquiry. They used a big question to direct their research and then presented their findings. 

瞧！展板内容有对韩服起源的讨论，有对苹果公司在中国发展现状的探究，有澳洲旅行如今在中国日益受欢迎的思考，有中国传统舞蹈追根溯源的启发，还有中国国画的传承宣扬，更有美国白宫和中国中南海建筑的异同比较，涵盖范围非常广泛，涉猎知识全方位多角度，不仅展示了五年级学生们的思维活跃，更是协和“世界胸怀，中国精神，协和气质”的完美体现！

Do you know the origins of Hanbok, the traditional Korean clothing? What problems does Apple face in the Chinese technology market? Why is Australia such a popular tourist destination? What inspires traditional Chinese dance or Chinese traditional painting? What are the similarities between the White House and China's Zhongnanhai? The coverage was huge, the knowledge is comprehensive and multi-faceted. It not only shows the active thinking of the fifth-grade students, but also embodies the globally minded nature of our school.

科学展中，五年级还邀请了一至四年级的弟弟妹妹们来进行参观。每个来参观的学生都对展板上内容充满好奇，不住地拉着五年级的哥哥姐姐们问东问西。而五年级的孩子们也体会到了“小老师”的乐趣，孜孜不倦地为低年级学生做着自信且详细的讲解，不仅讲解，还根据内容进行提问。你看，答对问题的学生获得了五年级学生精心准备的奖品，一个个都乐开了花。正是这样的交流、讨论，让我们看到了协和的学生友好互助，先锋精神一脉相承，为本次的科学展活动更增添了一份十足的感动。

In the exhibition, the fifth grade also invited the first to fourth grades to visit, inspiring their curiosity with the colourful exhibition boards and activities and encouraging them to ask a plethora of questions. The children in the fifth grade also realized the fun of the "little teacher" and worked tirelessly to give confidence and detailed explanations to the lower grade students, not only explaining but also asking questions according to the content. You see, the students who answered the questions got the prizes carefully prepared by the fifth grade students. It is this kind of exchange and discussion that brings out the friendly and encouraging nature of XieHe students and their pioneering spirit.

最后，在乐队的演唱伴奏中，本次的科学展进入尾声。小学部陈主任更是亲临活动现场，为展板优异的获得者颁发了这次展览的奖状证书，并与大家合影留念！

Finally, with the accompaniment of the band, the exhibition came to an end. Principal Jessica Chen of the Primary School attended the event and presented certificates to the outstanding winners of the exhibition.
