6月18日和6月20日，我校的家长工作坊活动首次开讲。中方代理校长和幼儿园中方园长为众多家长朋友们带来了期待已久的“亲子阅读”专题分享。

Parent-Workshop by NAS Jiaxing were firstly presented on 18th and June 20th respectively. Anglia Shen - Acting National Principal of Nord Anglia School Jiaxing and Kathy Han - National Head of Early Years of Nord Anglia Kindergarten brought our parents the long-expected parent-child reading special sharing.

讲座围绕“将阅读变成“悦读””，；“倾听阅读的“声音””；“怎样的问题更有话题”展开。讲座内容涉及年龄覆盖了3-10岁的孩子，从低幼儿的绘本阅读到中高年级的读本阅读和阅读记录，沈校长的 “悦读” 分享让各位家长朋友们眼前一亮，为许多的新手父母提供了可操性强的办法，让更多的父母通过阅读，对孩子成长中的心理变化和相处模式有了更深刻地认识。家长们积极参与互动环节, 现场气氛热烈，笑声不绝于耳，大家一起度过了一个难忘的下午。

除了了解如何进行亲子阅读外，沈校长还给家长朋友们推荐了一系列适合各个年龄段孩子的阅读APP，丰富的绘本以及课外兴趣书，让择书也变成了一件so easy的事情。此外，沈校长还和家长朋友们进行了活跃的交流，同样作为一名妈妈的她也更好地解答了家长们心中的重重困惑。

Aimed at children from 3-10, the workshops were conducted under the themes of "turning reading into happy reading", "listening to the ‘sound’ of reading" and "what kind of questions are more interesting". The “happy reading” shared by Angela Shen impressed our parents very much and provide them with feasible and operable methods for parent-child reading, and let them have a deeper understanding of children's psychological changes and interaction patterns in their growth. Parents actively participated in the interaction session during the workshop and they’ve spent an unforgettable afternoon together.

Angela Shen recommended a series of reading apps, wonderful picture books and extracurricular books for children aged from 3-10, to make book selection into an easy job. In addition, as also being a mom, she conducted deep exchanges with parents and answered a lot of questions from them.

在嘉兴市诺德安达学校，我们鼓励家长们通过亲子阅读去开拓孩子们自己的世界和丰富他们的知识，并且让父母和孩子尽可能的多交流从而读懂孩子们内心的想法，和孩子建立良好的亲子关系。孩子们则将在阅读中收获成长，将阅读变成习惯与兴趣，从而为将来的学习生活做好准备。

本次活动收到了家长朋友们的广泛好评，家长工作坊也将持续为不同年龄段孩子的家长带来针对性的活动，包括高年级的家长普遍关心的国际留学趋势及留学目的地选择，幼儿园家长关心的幼小衔接等问题。欢迎家长朋友们持续关注我们的公众号以及官网了解最新活动。

At NAS Jiaxing, we encourage parents and children to enrich and enlarge children’s knowledge through parent-child reading. Parents shall conduct communications as much as possible with their children to understand their inner thoughts and true beliefs to establish good relationship with them. Through the process of parent-child reading, children will form a good habit of reading, so as to prepare themselves for future study and life.

We’ve received many positive feedbacks from our parents, and they hope NAS Jiaxing can launch more workshops. Topics concerning “study abroad” and “education goals” are expected by parents of secondary students, while “how to carry out bridging courses for young children” are expected from parents of kindergarten students. We attach vital importance to communication and exchanges with our parents. In the future, we will continuously bring parents with more and more family education knowledge and international education related information through the parent-workshops.
