一个班24个孩子,有的提前学过了一年的课程,有的刚开始学习,有的来自基础教育高地的公立学校,有的来自国际学校,如何让不同程度的学生用双语掌握数学内容和数学评估?南通诺德安达学校的个性化数学课这样教。

诊断性评价
积极采用不同形式的前期评估来了解学生们的学习已知,这便是我们所熟知的诊断性评价。教学评价以人为本,尤其尊重学生个性特点、强调促进的发展性评价。形式一: 课堂观察,通过观察班级学生课堂表现、参与学习、互动反馈等的状态来掌握学生的学习进程,收集直观信息,获取课堂实际;形式二: 访谈法,根据教学实际,利用课前、课后间歇,分别对学生进行“访谈”,检测学生学习进程,明确学生学习目标,此方法操作简便;形式三: 作业分析,通过分层作业的完成程度,熟悉学生的学习水平,分析学生的学习能力,为接下来的课程调整奠定基础。
个性化目标
从学生的实际出发,以发展每个学生为理念,师生逐步达成共识,树立个性化目标。将班级学生分成三个小组:组一由未超前学习过数学内容的学生组成,个性化目标为夯实基础、厚积薄发。将严格按照教学计划进行课堂教学,同时融入双语教学;组二由已经学过全部或部分数学内容的学生组成,个性化目标为巩固强化、能力提升。课堂教学以强化训练为主,鼓励自主学习英文讲义、完成英文练习;组三由只学习过国际课程数学内容的学生组成,个性化目标为求同存异、融贯中西,要求学生掌握相应的义务教育数学课程,熟悉数学问题模式,强化数学思维训练。
个性化课堂
根据学生的个性化目标进行个性化教学。四十五分钟的课堂教学分成两阶段,第一阶段,组二学生自行阅读英文讲义或完成英文习题,教师针对组一、组三学生进行课堂教学,两组学生已经在课前已经完成章节预习和习题训练,教师只需要利用一半或更少的时间进行知识点的梳理和重难点的突破,完善学生对于知识盲区的补充,然后剩下的课堂时间为两组学生布置不同内容的课堂练习或课后练习;第二阶段,教师将转向第二组学生,进行强化训练的评讲、英文讲义的知识点梳理以及习题答疑,在学生已有的知识结构中进行提升和外延,丰富学生的理论知识,促进学生的实践能力。

集体实践活动
起初学生们可能会有些不知所措,因为他们没有经历过在一个班级、一堂课上被分组进行个性化的学习。所以,在课堂上他们会好奇地张望其他组的学习或练习,不自觉地互相讨论着。慢慢地,当学生们和老师都逐步地熟悉整个课堂的流程与节奏,课堂表现将从混乱无章变成井井有条。但是教师也意识到过分个性化教学在一定程度上会造成学生之间分的分隔,所以集体的实践活动必不可少,例如数学知识点的头脑风暴、章节笔记的集中整理等。而学生非常青睐头脑风暴,他们可以将不同章节甚至不同时期学习到的数学概念通过一定的关系连接在一起,使得数学概念变得生动活泼起来,更由于加入了英文的表述,使得学生脑中的数学概念更加丰富。另一方面,在快节奏的个性化教学课堂,学生无法充分进行课堂笔记的记录,为了强化学生对于章节知识的整体理解,形成有序的数学知识体系,在章节末教师将章节的复习大纲发给学生,学生依据复习大纲进行双语的笔记整理,以准备接下来的章节测验。

The maximum students number for each class in NAS Nantong is 24. Some students have learned the courses of the entire year in advance, some have just started, some are from public schools, and some are from international schools. How to make students of different levels have a good command of Mathematics contents and evaluations in bilingual? I’d like to share with you the personalised teaching and learning in NAS Nantong.

Diagnostic assessment
We will use various forms of assessment to get to know each student’s level, which is known as diagnostic assessment. Teaching evaluation should be students-oriented, especially with respect to students' individual characteristics and emphasis on the developmental evaluation. Method 1. Classroom observation. By observing students' performance and participation in class, learning and interactive feedback, we can know the students' learning progress, collect intuitive information and know the actual situation in class. Method 2. Talking with students. Talking with students before or after class according to the teaching practice to check their learning progress and clarify their learning objectives. Method 3. Homework analysis. Teachers can analyse the learning ability of each student and make a plan for the following course through the analysis of homework.
Establish personalized goals
Based on the actual situation of each student and the idea of developing each student, teachers and students will gradually reach consensus and establish personalized goals. The students will be divided into three groups: the Group 1 is composed of students who have not studied in advance. The personalised goal is to consolidate the foundation and make solid progress. The teaching method will be carried out in strict accordance with the teaching plan and integrated into bilingual teaching. Group 2 is composed of students who have learned all or part of the knowledge of this semester. The personalized goal is to consolidate, strengthen and improve their ability. The teaching method is mainly focused on intensive training. Students are encouraged to learn and do homework in English independently. Group 3 consists of students who have only studied International courses. The personalized goal is to seek common ground while reserving differences and integrate China and the West. Students are required to master the compulsory education Mathematics courses, be familiar with the model of Mathematical problems and strengthen the training of Mathematical thinking.
Personalised class
Personalised learning is carried out according to students' personalized goals. We will divide one session into two stages. The first stage, group 2 students read English teaching materials and complete English exercises. The teacher teaches groups 1 and 3 students. These two groups of students have finished the preview before class, the teacher only needs to use half or less time for knowledge and difficult points breakthrough, make up for the shortage of students. And then teacher assigns different exercises in class or after class for the two groups of students. In the second stage, the teacher will turn to the group 2 students to comment on the intensive training, sorting out the knowledge points of English notes and answering questions. So as to improve and extend the students' existing knowledge structure, enrich students' theoretical knowledge and promote their practical ability.

Collective activities
Students may be a little overwhelmed at the beginning because they don't have the experience of being grouped into individual groups in a class. They may be very curious about what others are learning or practicing, and discuss with each other. But when teachers and students are gradually familiar with the whole process, the class will be in perfect order. However,teachers also realize that the excessively personalised learning will cause the separation between students. So the collective activities are essential, such as the brainstorming of Mathematical knowledge and sorting out the chapter notes. Brainstorming is a perfect way for learning, students can connect Mathematical concepts learned in different chapters and even in different periods and also because we ask students to add the English expression into the brainstorming, the Mathematical concept become more lively. On the other hand, in a fast-paced personalised learning class, students don’t have enough time to take all the notes. In order to help students to strengthen the understanding of knowledge and form an orderly system of Mathematics method, teachers will give the review outline to students at the end of class. Students can sort out the bilingual notes and prepare the test.
