PAC-12: UCLA & Georgia Tech Cheer Teams Visit SCIS

We received a very special visit from two PAC-12 cheer teams today at SCIS Hongqiao campus. The UCLA Bruins and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets cheerleaders ran a cheer clinic and performed alongside our very own SCIS Cheer Squad!

SCIS cheerleading is a student led sport program.  We have 3 amazing captains: Lisa Hasselgren, Anna Andrade, and Didi Chu, who have spent the last 3 months choreographing and teaching the team cheers, stunts, and dances.  The team has been dedicated, throughout all our 6:30am practices.   

Today they got to show off their hard work for the UCLA and Georgia Tech cheer squads, as well as, the lower school students.  During the cheer clinic, provided by the university cheerleaders, SCIS got to learn new cheers and dances, as well as ask questions and see the university cheerleaders perform. 

It was an amazing experience all around!

Over 190 of us will be cheering on both UCLA & Georgia Tech at the 2017 PAC-12 China Game this Saturday.
