Who keens on running marathons?

Who has an electronic engineering degree but choose to be a cross-border teacher?

Who comes from a home full of educators, at which there are college theoretical physics professor and kindergarten dancing teacher?

Who came to China on the 60th National Day of China, then left, and returned to Beijing on the 70th National Day?      

Who loves to travel and learns about different cultures on the ways?

Who is external heat internal cooling, hoping every child will label himself as a bookworm?                      

Who used to be a football coach? 

Ben is from Scotland and graduated in history from Stirling University. He has working as a teacher for 15 years, and has been the head of the history department and the head of the humanities department for eight of his 15 years of teaching. Ben is good at designing courses to meet the specific needs of his students.

Ben know Beijing and China. He came to Beijing in 2009 for the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and put all his experience into bilingual teaching. After that, he went to work in Qatar for 4 years, and returned to Beijing on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the National Day, and came to NAS Beijing.

When mentioned about teaching in Nord Anglia Fangshan, Ben said that the desire to work in China is quite strong for me as a History Teacher and the opportunity for increasing my knowledge about Chinese culture is something that I am really looking forward to.  Having worked for Nord Anglia for the last 4 years I have been very impressed with them as an organisation and when I saw that I could fulfil the desire to stay with Nord Anglia and to return to China. I am also looking forward to the new challenge of working in a bi-lingual school.

Ben have been teaching for 23 years of which 19 of these have been in International Schools in UK, Malaysia, Qatar, China and Italy. He has previously held positions as Head of PE, Director of Sport and CAS Coordinator.

David hold a B.Sc. (Hons) in Sports Science and Geography (UK), a PGCE in Physical Education (UK) and an M.S.Ed in Instructional technology in Education (US). I am passionate about sport and played field hockey for my state and played football and swam for my university. I have coached football for over 20 years and have had the pleasure in coaching national champions in Italy as well as MLS teams in the US.

Aaron began teaching after undertaking a four-year teaching degree enabling me to teach from ages 4 – 16. He makes the students’ SATs results from our Year 6 pupils were some of the top in our county. Although he worked in Primary and Secondary school before, but he decide to teach in primary students in billigual school.

Aaron love to keep fit, especially in running, he is hoping to run Marathon on the Great Wall. He had already competed in a vertical marathon and ran up the staircase of the tallest building in Beijing, the China World Trade Center, I ran up 82 floors in 22 minutes!

During my teaching in bilingual public high school as a geography teacher and international school as a social studies teacher, I designed students-centered curricula and introduced some advances in scientific applications such as Geography Information System and Remote Sensing into the classroom. I also tutored students to take part in extra activities such as national level competition for social studies subject and received very good results. I believe all these activities could enrich students for their future studies and help them improve their understandings in what they have learned in class.

Born into a big family having many teachers–from kindergarten dancing teachers to university physics professors, she has been familiar with teachers’ life since very young age. she knew as a little girl teaching is a challenging job but also meaningful to others. The reason she chose Beijing Normal University was to become a good teacher in the future.

Both of my parents are avid readers. So Mr Ma always believe in the power of reading and hope I could teach the skills and habits of reading to her students.

Iris graduated from Harbin institute of physical education, major in sports. Also competed in the triathlon and finished ninth in the xiamen international triathlon 70.3 age group in 2019.

Now I am the result of my parent’s education and support.In the future,I will continue to work on my favorite sports caree and teach my students so that they can grow healthily into better people.

Now the world is implementing internationalization, slowly bilingual education is the mainstream of the education industry, not only the consolidation of traditional education, but also the practicality and flexibility of international education. I used to be engaged in swimming teaching in a bilingual school. she paid much attention to students' cultural courses and also personal interests and specialties in education. She wish student could learn from entertainment.

As a technology teacher, of course Anthony’s big passion is technology and he is very much a geek when it comes to learning new technological innovations.  He is a supporter of animal welfare and has three cats of my own which I rescued in my travels.  But also, he has rescued animals from the streets of the places he has lived and rehomed them in the USA for better lives.

Since joining Nord Anglia Education, Anthony has enjoyed the opportunities it provides to staff and students.  This includes the professional development it offers staff and the global collaboration opportunities it offers to students.  In coming back to China, especially to NAS Beijing, Anthony wants to build on the work he started with STEAM and bringing it to the school.
