老师，您好 Meet Our Teachers-Christine Duffner 寄宿部主任 Heaf of Boarding

Christine Duffner女士毕业于哈德斯菲尔德大学音乐专业，自1996年起一直致力于培养热爱音乐和艺术的学生。学生时代的她曾是爱丁堡某所学校的寄宿生，毕业后即选择在这一领域工作，并同时教授音乐。她在英国多所学校和中国香港的哈罗公学担任过女生宿舍舍监和寄宿部主管，最后在香港的工作经历使她意识到了自己对亚洲文化的热爱。Christine老师的儿子（Edward）也将在2020年9月入读嘉兴市诺德安达学校5年级。他是一个小小足球迷，喜爱许多的体育运动，相信他很快会和同学们成为好朋友。

Mrs. Christine Duffner graduated from the University of Huddersfield having majored in Music and has been committed to enthusing students with a love of music and the arts since 1996. Having been a boarder herself in Edinburgh, she chose to work in this area alongside teaching music and has held both Housemistress and Head of Boarding positions in UK and, recently Harrow, Hong Kong where she realized her love of Asian culture. Christine's son (Edward) will also be enrolled in grade 5 of Nord Anglia School Jiaxing in September 2020.He is a football mad and loves nearly all sports. We believe he will soon become good friends with his classmates.

首先是对于学生的全方位了解，这不仅仅局限于学生本人，也包括对学生家庭方面的了解。我乐于成为学生家庭和学校方面的纽带。和宿管团队一起持续地总结工作并鼓励创新，使得我们能够和孩子一起达到最佳表现。我非常乐意深入了解每一位寄宿生，尽可能多花时间和他们交流。我的目标是营造一个无话不说的寄宿环境，我会鼓励孩子们随时和我交流倾诉。

One of my favourite parts of boarding is getting to know not just the students but the whole family. I love the fact that I am always described as approachable both to staff and families. Continually reviewing practice and encouraging ideas from my team means that we always strive to get the very best out of each and every child and ourselves. I enjoy getting to know all the boarders and taking time to see them during the School day where possible too. My aim is to have as much of an open door policy as possible and I will encourage pupils to come and chat to me.

我在嘉兴市诺德安达学校的寄宿管理目标是去培养学生和学生之间以及他们与老师之间能产生的一种相互信任的环境。我们的学生将发展出适合他们年龄段的独立能力，年长的学生应该帮助引导年幼的学生，就像哥哥姐姐那样。在教职员工的支持下，我们将鼓励所有学生努力学习，但也要确保他们有其余的时间去找寻兴趣爱好和放松自我。这有助于培养一个快乐而又张弛有度的孩子，这将会使他们终生受益。

My aim for boarding at Nord Anglia Jiaxing is to cultivate an environment of trust between pupils themselves and with their staff too. Our students will develop a level of independence appropriate to their age, and the older students should help to guide the younger ones, as older siblings naturally would. We will encourage all the pupils to work hard academically, with the support of our staff, but also ensure that they make time for hobbies and relaxation. This helps to develop a happy and resilient child which can only serve them well in the future.
