无畏东风 求知若渴
我们的VVS之行快接近尾声了，Verde Valley School已经变成了我们第二个温暖的家。当然，在离开之前，我们仍然有许多活动，其中最重要也是最让人关心的，就是东部游学了吧。即使那里寒风凛冽，却阻挡不了我们对于求知的热情。下面，就跟着小编来看看，我们的东部游学之旅吧！
Our time here at VVS is coming to an end. We have been an integral part of the VVS community. Of course, we still have a lot of fun activities before leaving. Nothing could ever stand in the way between us and knowledge. One of the most unforgettable times would be our college tour on the East Coast.
这次我们东部之行参观的大学有：
波士顿：
第一天：哈佛大学 & 麻省理工学院
Harvard & MIT
第二天：布朗大学 & 东北大学
Brown & Northeastern
第三天：卫斯理大学（女子），巴布森大学（男子）
Wesley (women) , Babson (men)
史密斯学院（女子）， 阿姆斯特大学（男子）
Smith (women) , Amherst (men)
第四天：塔夫斯大学 & 波士顿大学
Tufts & Boston
纽约：哥伦比亚大学 & 普林斯顿大学
Columbia & Princeton
许多大学大家对它都是如雷贯耳了吧，比如哈佛大学、麻省理工学院和普林斯顿大学等等。在这里，小编给大家介绍三所可能大家并不太熟悉的大学。
We visited many prestigious colleges such as Harvard, Princeton, MIT. And now I'd like to introduce you three schools that you may not know a lot about.
波士顿 Boston
第一站：布朗大学 Brown University
布朗大学是小编梦想的学校，这所学校的古典文学，英文，历史等方面的研究在全美都名列前茅。这次能造访是我的荣幸。有一位学生导游Jessica带领我们参观， 她是一名专修国际关系的大四学生。Jessica非常热情详细地为我们介绍了自己在布朗大学的生活。那天的波士顿非常冷， Jesscia仍然非常敬业地带领着我们走访校园的角角落落。我们不仅了解了学校的历史，更是了解了这个学校的专业特点。Jessica更是认真解答了我们关于布朗大学的各种问题。
Brown University has always been one of my dream school. It is my pleasure to come visit this time. Our student tour guide, Jessica led our tour. She's a senior majoring in International Relations. She showed us great hospitality and introduced us life in Brown. It was a very cold that day in Boston. Jessica answered us questions about the university as well as showed us around campus despite of the cold weather.

2第二站：卫斯理大学 Wellesley College
卫斯理学院比较特别。第一因为这是一所女校，可谓女生与男生“分道扬镳”。第二因为这所学校没有学生导游负责介绍，于是我们班级的班委便自发担任起了导游、讲解的职责。第三因为宋美龄、冰心与希拉里都是从这所学校毕业的。
在参观卫斯理的前一天，学习委员顾辰逸，班长王佳人负责查询有关学院的历史资料，准备第二天的讲解；活动委员章致与文艺委员余文卿负责查询学校的导游路线；生活委员傅婕安排学生的午餐饮食。她们做足了这所学院各方面的功课，为同学们安排了一场精彩而令人难忘的行程。
Wellesley College is very special to us for three reasons. Firstly, it is a all-girls school which means that boys and girls went separate ways during that tour. Secondly, since there was no tour guide, our class leaders took responsibility of being tour guides. Lastly, famous people such as Song Meiling, Bingxin and Hilary all graduated from this university.
While girls are doing a tour at Wesley, boys went on a trip to Babson College. The campus is very beautiful as an old man introduced us the history and life of campus. We were surrounded and amazed by the green scenery.

第三站：巴布森大学 Babson college
当女生们都在参观卫斯理大学的时候，我们男生前往了美丽而幽静的巴布森大学。这所大学的商学院非常有名气，校园环境非常美丽，校舍建筑新颖有特色。一位笑起来很甜的卷发的小眼睛大叔为我们讲解了学校的背景，介绍了一些著名的专业。我们走在校园里，犹如进入了森林一般，四周都是碧绿的青青草原，尽管已经临近冬天，依旧还能看到苍翠的大树挺立在我们的身旁。我们男生都被眼前的美景所深深折服。
While girls are doing a tour at Wesley, boys went on a trip to Babson College. The campus is very beautiful as an old man introduced us the history and life of campus. We were surrounded and amazed by the green scenery.

当然，除了这三所大学以外，还有许多大学也给我们留下了非常深刻的印象。给大家放几张照片解解“馋”吧。
根据我们这些照片，你能猜出这都是些什么大学吗？我们能去参观和学习真的很幸运。当然，我们的东部游学远远没有结束，接下来，让我们看看在下一站——纽约，又发生了什么吧。
These are all great colleges in America. Aside from doing tours on colleges, let's take a look at our next stop:
New York!
在纽约，仅仅两天时间，除了参观哥伦比亚和普林斯顿大学以外，我们还见缝插针地游览了联合国大厦→游船观看自由女神像→登顶帝国大厦→世贸大厦、华尔街→MOMA当代艺术博物馆→时代广场。
我们到纽约正好赶上了感恩节与黑色星期五······
We only had two days in New York. Other than visiting Columbia and Princeton University, we went sightseeing in the Empire Sate Building and the Statue of Liberty. And there were also Wall’s Street , MOMA Art Museum and Times Square.
Fortunately, the time we arrived New York was also Black Friday and Thanksgiving.
来到美国，不得不提的就是黑色星期五了吧。纽约的黑色星期五真是名不虚传，这次还真是见识到了。时代广场上人流如潮，人山人海。每家店打折力度都很大。小编就在一家叫Champs的店逛high了。在如此忙碌而又混乱的地方，大家都能在最后约定的时间集合，也很值得表扬呢。
Black Friday was such a good time for us. The sales were huge and there were so many people that day in Times Square. The Time Square was packed with people. I bought so many favourites in a store called Champ. What’s worth bringing up is that we all gathered at the place at the time promised. “ No man left behind”.

2华尔街 Wall Street
纽约的华尔街也是名不虚传，真的是全美的金融中心呢！我们也看到了华尔街的象征：铜牛雕像。
Wall Street is amazing as well. It is literally the financial centre of the whole America. And we also got to see the symbol of Wall Street: Bronze Bull

3MOMA艺术博物馆
美国当代艺术博物馆是纽约市中心的一座美术馆。整座美术馆一共六楼，里面有许多美丽无比的画作，有毕加索的，有梵高的，还有许多叫不出名字的画家画的。最受瞩目的是梵高的“星空”。当然还有许多奇形怪状的雕塑，令人暗暗赞叹。在一处阴暗的小角落里，火眼金睛的我甚至发现了我们的美术老师Jeff向我们推荐的摄影师Henri Cartier的作品，这真的是太棒了!
MOMA Art Museum is located in the centre of the New York City. It has six floors and fantastic masterpieces. With Picasso, Van Gogh and other painters. The most famous one would be Van Gogh’s Starlight. Also, there were beautiful yet bizarre sculptures. Guess that’s just what art is. And I also found the masterpiece done by Henri Cartier in the museum.That's fantastic!
我们的东部游学虽然只去了波士顿、纽约这两个城市，但乐趣无穷。此次游学不仅仅是饱了眼福，更让我们的内心充实了很多。
Though we’ve only been to Boston and New York this time, but it’s been really fun for us.
时间观念的提升 Punctuality
刚来到东部的第一天，有些同学还没有很好的时间意识，在约定好的时间却没有到达集合地点，比如第一天就有四位同学迟到。纪检委李漠萱同学在车上毫不留情地对这一现象进行了批评。于是在后面几天的行程里，所有同学都能按时甚至提前到达集合地点，同学们的时间观念明显提高了。非常感谢李漠萱同学的尽心尽责，感谢张屹老师与陈奇飞老师对大家的督促。
We didn't develop a strong sense of punctuality at the start. Like some classmates didn't show up as planned beforehand. Four of them were late on the first day. With the help of Yuna and our teachers, all our classmates were able to show up on time on the next few days. Yuna has been a great role model and Yi and Figo's concern for us has been a wonderful motivation as well.
责任意识的加强 Responsibility
不仅仅是时间观念，我们的责任意识也加强了很多哟。比如在刚下飞机时，就有一个女孩的随身包包在等候上厕所时忘拿了，在机场工作人员帮助下找到；当天进hoilday inn酒店又有一个男孩信用卡遗失，后来第二天早餐时就有服务员捡到；之后一个女孩信用卡被自动取款机吞了，急得跳脚，另一同学就说先用我的，回上海再说；还有一个女孩钱包丢在巴士上，自己还不知道，被陈老师捡到…凡此种种，都是一种教训，让我们一路走来更加小心翼翼了呢。尤其在时代广场，在繁华的街道上到处人山人海，老师们很担心我们能不能按时到达，会不会迷路。然而所有同学都在约定时间前就到达了集合地点。这正是我们的进步啊！
When we were getting off the plane, a girl in our class lost her purse in the bathroom and a boy almost lost his credit card but was found and returned the next morning by the waitress. And there was a girl who lost her wallet without herself even noticing… Luckily, Figo found her wallet and returned it to her. All these things have taught us valuable lessons about being careful.
班委的尽心尽责 Student Body's Concerns
在东部游学的每一天我们都乘坐同一辆巴士出行，所以这个巴士对我们来说也是重要的公共环境。每个人都有责任对巴士内的卫生负责，我们都明白不能乱扔垃圾，每次下车都会把餐巾纸等物品带走。同样的，我们班的劳动委员李辰仪, 曹咏程, 王辰卿三位同学每天总是最后下车，检查卫生的同时，还负责查看是否有遗漏的物品。感谢劳动委员们的辛勤付出。
We would take the same bus every day. That’s why the bus has been so important to us. We all know that we should not leave rubbish on the bus, so we will bring all the rubbish out of the bus everytime. Also, Isabella, Nancy and Vivian would clean up after us every night.
生活委员傅婕也是十分的辛苦呢。大家都知道，一路上，我们的花费可不小呢，所以说，统计钱的收入与支出也是十分辛苦。我们的生活委员与陈奇飞老师为大家统计所有的账单，真的很感谢他们呢！
班长王佳人在每天回酒店的车上，都会进行总结。她很细心的给我们把一天的活动进行概括，针对一天中的问题一一进行评点。同时，纪检委郝千里和李漠萱两位同学对一天的情况进行实事求是地表扬和批评。
小编在这里感谢班委为班级的热心付出，相信在这样班委的组织领导下，我们九班一定是一个充满了正能量，团结进步的集体。
Our class monitor Angel was very responsible during the whole time. She would prepare a speech as a conclusion every day. And here we would like to say thanks to our vice monitors, Yuna and Steve. I love how our class works now with so many wonderful people taking charge and responsibility.
So I want appreciate them for thier devotion. I believe that our class will become a better and united classin the future.
舌尖上的美味——更想念家乡的味道
A bite of America--Miss my hometown
来到东部，不得不提的就是吃饭问题。导游很细心的为我们安排了不同类型的午餐与晚餐，包括地地道道的中餐唷（我们可是有三个多月没有吃到中餐了）！我们也体会到了美国的饮食文化。当然最令人难忘的，就是波士顿大龙虾了。话不多说，让我们一起来看看令人馋涎欲滴的美食吧。
Another thing I have to mention would be our meal plans. Our tour guide arranged us nice lunches and dinners and it was a good chance for us to experience American food culture. My favourite was Boston lobster. So exquisite. Let’s enjoy the feast by looking at these pictures I took.

最后在此特别鸣谢导游梁先生和司机陆师傅！感谢你们为我们东部游学这一周精心设计的路线以及对我们的照顾！也感谢全班同学积极配合，这次东部游学不仅仅学到了知识，也增加了班级的凝聚力，让我们九班更加团结了。
至此，我们的东部游学就快要结束啦！我们的VVS之行也接近了尾声。希望我们能够画下一个圆满的句号，为我们自己，加油！
At last, we'd like to express our gratitude to our tour guide Mr. Liang and our driver Mr. Lu! Thank you so much for making our week so wonderful! And we really appreciate everything each and every one of you in Class 9. Not only did we learn about so many new things about colleges, but also enhanced our class bond.
