在上一期的分享中,我们通过“云探校”的方式共同参观了即将在九月开放的中学教室、电脑教室及STEAM创客空间。全新的教学设施将更好为NACIS的小班化教学提供强有力的支持、助力更加丰富多元的教学活动。

 

除了日常的教学之外,我们的学生也将通过实验,课外活动等形式来进行学习能力的拓展,夯实综合实力。今天,我们将带领您一起来探索学校中一些“特殊”的教室。在这里,我们的学生将收获更加个性化的学习体验,他们也将从不同的纬度去探索更加广阔的世界。

In the previous news, we saw secondary classrooms, computer rooms and STEAM maker spaces that will open in September. The new teaching facilities will better serve the small-sized class teaching and enrich diversified teaching activities.

 

In addition to daily teaching, our students will develop their abilities and consolidate their comprehensive strength through experiments and extracurricular activities. Today, we would like to share with you some of our "special" classrooms. Our students will have a more personalized learning experience and explore the wider world from different perspectives.

3D打印室

3D Printing Room


我们所处的世界不断变化,日新月异。在未来,7500万个工作岗位会逐渐消失,而1.33亿新岗位正在兴起。这些新兴职业当中,科学家,人工智能和机器学习专家位列榜单前列。

 

诺德安达将其视为机遇,相信这个急速变化的世界能让孩子们获得更多的启发。因此,我们在硬件设施上,也为NACIS Shanghai的学子们做足了准备。


英国著名教师戴夫怀特曾经说过:如果你能抓住学生的想象力,你就能抓住了他们的注意力。


3D打印机的学习与使用可以让课程变得更加生动,它是一种同时拥有视觉和触觉的学习方式。学生将不仅仅是在黑板或显示器上浏览文字或图形,而是通过视觉与触觉去多维度学习某一个三维模型。

 

3D打印技术将被运用到NACIS的课堂中,学生将收获更加真实、直观的教学;他们也将切实地参与到教学的各个环节,既是问题的提出者,也是问题的解决者;而老师更像是合作者,和学生一起探索领先的未来科技。

The world we live in is constantly changing. In the future, 75 million jobs will gradually disappear, while 133 million new jobs are being created. Scientists, artificial intelligence and machine learning specialists top the list.


At NACIS Shanghai, we regard it as an opportunity to encourage students to abstain more inspirations in the rapidly changing world. Therefore, we have prepared the best facilities for our students.



The famous English teacher Dave White once said: “If you can catch the imagination of your students, you can attract their attention”.

The learning and use of 3D printer can make the course more vivid. It is a way of learning with vision and touch. Not only will students browse through text or graphics on a blackboard or a monitor, but they can learn about a three-dimensional model in multiple dimensions.


3D printing technology will be applied in the class at NACIS Shanghai, and students will gain more real and intuitive teaching. They will also be involved in all aspects of teaching, both as problem solvers and problem promoters. Teachers, on the other hand, are more like collaborators, working with students to explore the leading future technologies.

木工教室

Carpentry Room


在NACIS,我们的学生可以在每天的双语学习之后进行例如木工等课外活动(ECA),每周近150多种的课外活动的选择在丰富课余生活的同时,也锻炼了各项技能;木工教学也将走进NACIS的劳动技术(Design Technology)课堂,学生将在这间教室中化身NACIS设计师。


我们为学生配备了完备的工具和明确的功能区域。木工工具墙、专用木工桌、作品展示架、工坊服等可供学生使用;授课区、防护区、作品展示区、材料区、操作区,为不同的教学活动提供的充足的空间。


在木工教室内,学生将通过触觉,视觉,听觉等各种感官来感受木作,获得动手的乐趣;通过独立完成一件作品,制作复杂的物件,来培养系统规划的能力;通过无数次看似简单的打磨,练就专注力。


通过工具的运用并实践,使创意不再存于大脑。

At NACIS Shanghai, our students can participate in extracurricular activities such as carpentry after daily bilingual learning, which enables them to enrich their learning life and develop their skills. Woodworking teaching will be also integrated into the NACIS Design Technology class, where students will become NACIS designers.


In the carpentry room, we offer students the complete tools including wooden tool wall, special woodworking table, material storage cabinet, work display frame, workshop clothing, etc., as well as  clear functional areas such as lecture area, protection area, work display area, hand tool area, material area and operation area, which provides enough space for different teaching activities.


Through touch, vision and hearing etc., students can appreciate the wooden works and have hands-on fun. They can also complete a piece of work independently and make complex objects to develop systematic planning ability. By means of seemingly simple works, they will improve their mindfulness.


By using tools, students will make creative ideas into practice.

化学实验室

Chemical Laboratory


基于诺德安达全球校园的平台,我们的学生可以在这里学习与美国麻省理工学院合作的综合理科课程。化学实验室将作为配套设施提供给NACIS学生去进行科学的探究。

 

在化学实验室中,我们的学生将在老师的引导下,运用专业的实验设施来进行多种多样的化学实验,从实践中探索科学,扩大的空间与安全设备也保证了更加安全有效的学习。

 

从基本的操作技能入手,我们的学生将逐步培养分析问题、解决问题的综合能力,基于实事求是的科学态度,去大胆开拓创新意识。在NAICS,我们不做纸上谈兵的“理论家”,而是经验丰富的“未来科学家”。

Our students can learn the integrated science curriculum in cooperation with MIT through the global campus platform. The chemistry laboratory will serve as a supporting facility for NACIS students to carry out scientific exploration.


Under the guidance of teachers, our students will use professional experimental facilities to conduct a variety of chemical experiments and explore science in practice. The expanded space and safety equipment can also ensure more safe and effective learning.


Starting from the basic operation skills, our students will gradually develop the comprehensive ability to analyze and solve problems, seek truth from facts with the scientific attitude, and develop the consciousness of innovation. At NAICS Shanghai, we are experienced "future scientists" instead of "theorists".
