我想来到嘉兴市诺德安达学校工作有很多的原因。首先，我很兴奋能来到刚刚创建的学校里工作。我从未这样做过，而我所看到的帮助学校起步的机会对我来说也很有吸引力。由于我已经在另一所诺德安达学校工作过，所以我认为我可以带给学校有关最佳实践的重要经验。我计划带来这些知识，并从我的创造力中找到帮助这所新学校的方法。嘉兴市诺德安达学校拥有着美丽的新校园，精良的设备，因此我认为这将是一个不错的工作场所。同时，我也期待着从北京搬到嘉兴，因为这里的气候和地理位置都吸引着我和我的妻子。

I want to work for NAS Jiaxing for a few different reasons. First of all, I am excited to work at a school that is just starting. I have never done this, and the opportunities that I see to help the school get started are interesting to me. Since I already work for another Nord Anglia School, I think I can bring important experience about best practices that are used in the schools. I plan to bring this knowledge as well as find ways for my creativity to help this new school. NAS Jiaxing has a beautiful new campus with wonderful facilities, so I think it will be a good place to work. I am also looking forward to moving to Jiaxing from Beijing. The climate and location are appealing to my wife and me.

我对双语学校学生的建议是在活动中学习。我一直鼓励孩子们找到自己喜欢阅读的书籍，并尽可能多地去阅读。这是在上下文中学习新单词和短语的绝佳方法。我还建议学生不要让语言的障碍阻止他们学习想要学习的东西。 如果他们不知道自己需要的确切词汇也没有问题。学习应该是愉快的，这样孩子们才会一直有信心参加进来。

如果我发现语言是首要的障碍，那么我会去找寻语言的哪些方面的问题给学生带来了最大的困难，并专注于此。老师可以在教学过程中简单地使用更多基本语言，去开展更多活动，使学生无论英语水平如何都能参与其中，并对他们的进步进行评估。老师要注意他们说的话，这一点很重要，这样才能通过口语向学生慢慢介绍新词汇。我将专注于学生的进步，而不是期望他们达到以英语为母语的水平。

My advice to bilingual school students is to learn language through doing. I always encourage children to find books that they enjoy reading, and to read as much as possible. This is an excellent way to learn new words and phrases in context. I also advise students to not let the language barrier stop them from learning about what they want to learn about. It is okay if they don’t know the exact words they need. Learning should be enjoyable, so children should feel confident to participate all the time.

If I find that language comes as the first barrier, I would look at what aspects of language are giving the students the most difficulty and focus on that. A teacher can simply use more basic language during instruction, include more activities that allow students to participate regardless of their English level, and assess them on their improvement. It’s important for a teacher to pay attention to what they say, so that new vocabulary is being slowly introduced to the students through speaking. I will focus on the students’ levels instead of expecting them to meet the levels of native English speakers.
