Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is an economic cooperation organization with the highest level, the greatest influence and the most perfect mechanism in the Asia-Pacific region. Its members include 21 most important sovereign countries and regional economies in the Asia-Pacific region, which is also the most important international forum for promoting economic growth, cooperation, trade and investment in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2020, the APEC leaders' informal meeting will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in November.

APEC VOF is an official activity platform to promote positive exchanges between youth representatives of APEC members and APEC political and business leaders under the formal framework of APEC. It aims to cultivate and select the best youth representatives from 21 APEC economies, who will participate in the APEC conference week and APEC International Youth Camp, making contributions to policy-making and development of Asia-Pacific region as a youth.

The 2020 APEC VOF trial in China has already opened the application channel. Nord Anglia students or student who will become one of the Nord Anglia in the future, no matter which city you are in China, as long as you have a dream, dare to challenge, love our motherland and cherish the world, you can participate in this activity and gain the opportunities to communicate with global political and business leaders face-to-face! The 2020 APEC VOF China trial will pay more attention to the contestants' abilities in critical thinking, public speaking, independent thinking, communication and writing and research learning. From the four dimensions of "outlook on values and the world, personality traits, knowledge reserve and skills", the jury will examine the core competence of students through offline round table forum, model APEC, debate, APEC academic defense and other ways. Among them, APEC academic project defense is the highlight and difficulty of this competition, which is also an important means to comprehensively investigate the creativity, leadership, researching ability and team cooperation ability of the competitors.

• Application conditions: High school students or fresh graduates. Nationality of the people's Republic of China, 14-18 years old.
