收OFFER啦！诺德安达学生圆梦国际知名高校 Offers from World’s Top Universities

今年六月，我们的姐妹学校，上海闵行区诺德安达双语学校将迎来第二届毕业生。

继去年的傲人成绩之后，今年的十二年级准毕业生中，有75%的同学收到了世界排名前50大学的offer，83%的同学斩获了世界前100大学的offer，这其中不乏综合实力优异的综合型大学在世界顶尖的艺术专业高校。

其中包括：美国的纽约大学，英国的圣安德鲁斯大学，爱丁堡大学及伦敦艺术大学等；专业横跨计算机科学、商学、传媒、插画、艺术设计等。

NACIS Shanghai, the first Nord Anglia bilingual school in China, will have its second graduates this June.

Receiving impressive outcomes last year, NACIS is expecting even better results this year. 75% of the graduates received offers from the top 50 universities in the world, and 83% students received offers from world’s top 100 universities.

This includes New York university in the US, the University of st Andrews in the UK, the University of Edinburgh and the University of Arts in London, covering the majors of computer science, business, media, illustration, art design, etc.

In university application, Candy unwaveringly chose the illustration major from several top art universities in the UK. At the beginning of this year, she received some offers from the top British art institution.

但在申请之初Candy并没有这么坚定。好在她的IB老师Rebecca，以及升学指导肖老师，都发现了她对艺术的天赋与热爱。在他们的鼓励和指导下，Candy利用暑假走访了国外高校，坚定了自己去英国念艺术的想法。就像是点燃了心中的一团火，为了能完成自己的艺术作品，Candy放弃了一定的社交时间，花了大部分精力来追寻自己的目标，同时平衡IB学业上的压力。

But at the beginning Candy was not that determined. It was her IB teacher Rebecca and university counsellor Mr. Xiao, that found her artistic talent. Encouraged and instructed by the teachers, Candy visited her target universities in UK in a summer vacation and finally made up her mind going to UK for further studies.  It was like lighting a fire in her heart. Candy gave up some social time and spent most of her energy on creating her artwork to pursue her goal, while balancing the pressure of IB learning.

Renatus总是将“我们为什么不这样试试？”挂在嘴边。在别人眼中，他是一个喜欢质疑的孩子，但是在上海诺德安达，老师不但肯定他的思考角度，更鼓励他将自己的疑问付诸行动，自己寻找答案。

Renatus is a boy who is always saying “why don't we try it in this way?” In the eyes of others, he may be a sceptical child. However, in NACIS Shanghai, teachers not only accept his way of thinking, but also encourages him to take actions and find answers by himself.

Moreover, this art-loving boy also established a rock band with several boys with similar musical interests. Bringing many distinctive views to the band, he put on rousing performances as well.

今年初，Renatus也陆续收到了来自芝加哥艺术学院、纽约视觉艺术学院等世界顶尖艺术院校的录取通知书。

Earlier this year, Renatus received offers from some of the world's top art schools, including School of the Art Institute of Chicago and School of Visual Arts in New York.

肖老师让孩子们知道：自己未来的主动权在自己手中。

在老师的口中，Emily同学总和 “大胆”、“自信”紧密相连。但曾就读于公校的她刚来诺德安达时，甚至不敢和老师对视。

Mr. Xiao, university counsellor of NACIS Shanghai, showed it to the students and asked them to think about why going abroad. He requires students to take a broader view of the importance of each choice they make for their future.

Mr. Xiao expects the students to understand that their future is in their own hands.

Emily is always regarded as a "brave" and "confident" student. In fact, when she just came to NACIS, she didn't even dare to have eye contact with her teachers. 

从十年级开始，Pre-IB的学生就开始接受升学启蒙。Emily在老师的指引下，开始明确申请大学是自己决定自己未来的事。

到了十一和十二年级，留学规划变得更有针对性。Emily的留学申请一直是通过自己与升学指导老师共同规划。“我相信她，也相信学校。”Emily妈妈说。通过BridgeU平台，一对一辅导，文书书写等方式，肖老师帮每个学生挖掘出自己的“潜在基因”、找到“最合适”的舞台。Emily也找到了自己的目标——顶尖大学的传媒专业。

在明确的目标下，Emily的学习内驱力被激发出来，也逐渐成就了她的自信和进取心，不仅拿下首届诺德安达奖学金，还成为了学校首批联合国访问大使。

NACIS pre-IB students begin to receive university guidance since Grade 10. Emily then started to realize that university application is a major choice of her own life.

University selection becomes more targeted in Grade 11 and 12. Emily's university application was planned and implemented by herself together with her teachers. “I believe in her, and the school as well.” Said Emily’s mother. Mr. Xiao helps each student find the "most suitable" stage through the BridgeU platform, one-on-one tutoring, writing and other methods. Emily therefore found her goal -- a media major at a top university.

Guided by this clear target, Emily found her driving force, which also enhanced her confidence and strong will. She not only won the first NACIS scholarship, but also represented NACIS as one of the first Model United Nations visiting ambassadors.

在学习和升学资源上，诺德安达集团强大的全球资源为同学们创造了不少好机会。

Charles收到了纽约大学的入学通知书。这个大男孩在十年级规划初期就深知学术成绩的重要性，英文课程、商科与管理、化学、物理及数学这几门课都拿到了最高分。

In terms of overseas learning resources, Nord Anglia Education has provided rich resources and created many good opportunities for its students.

Charles received an offer from New York University. This boy clearly understood the importance of academic achievements when he started pre-IB in Grade 10. At the end of last semester, Charles got the highest marks in English, business and management, chemistry, physics and mathematics.

与此同时，他对烹饪和摄影都有着浓厚兴趣。在诺德安达集团摄影比赛中，Charles通过全球校园平台让其摄影作品有了广阔的展示机会，并从66所诺德安达姐妹学校的同学中脱颖而出，凭借与可持续发展目标联系在一起的出色摄影作品，成为诺德安达集团的年度摄影师。

Meanwhile, Charles has a keen interest in cooking and photography. In a photography competition, Charles had a wide display opportunity on Nord Anglia’s Global Campus platform. He stood out from all the students of more than 66 sister schools, and won NAE’ s Photographer of the Year.

不仅如此，全球校园平台更让诺德安达的同学们获得丰富的线上学习资源，甚至与MIT等顶尖学府的科学家对话。

诺德安达每年三月的教育展，连鲜少参加展会的剑桥大学也会亲临现场，带来与名校招生负责人一对一深入了解的机会。除了教育展，同学们也会跟着老师去指定国家参访名校，直观感受大学的氛围。

在学校定期举办的大学申请工作坊中，同学们可以在大学招生官和中学升学指导的双重帮助下，通过虚拟申请，解密国际高校的申请诀窍。

NAE Global Campus also provide plenty of learning resources to its students, as well as opportunities to communicate directly with the scientists from MIT, etc.

In NAE's annual education fair every March, universities rarely participate fairs such as the Cambridge, will attend and give our students face-to-face opportunities to communicate with its admissions officers. In addition, our students also have opportunities to visit the prestige universities abroad and directly feel their academic atmosphere.

College application workshop is also a regular activity of NAE. Students can act as the admission officer with the help of the college admission officer and the school counsellor, and "decode" the college application tips by analyzing the virtual student applications.

As a member of NAE family, G10 students from NAS Ningbo are focusing on the Pre-IB program, and all of them showed great enthusiasm for learning and exploration.
