As an International School, and being part of the IB, Shanghai United Hongqiao campus promotes the importance of the Mother Tongue. In this spirit, SUIS HQ's language policy states that "students are encouraged to acquire and maintain a strong foundation in their first language." In order to support this goal, SUIS is pleased to announce the building up and enhancing of the Mother Tongue section of its library.

作为被国际文凭组织认证的国际融合课程部, 协和虹桥十分重视创造属于孩子们的母语学习环境。在校区制定的语言政策中, 我们 "鼓励学生从其母语学习中发展并建立强大的学习基础。”为了实现这一目标, 我们高兴地告知大家学校将设立母语学习图书馆。

SUIS HQ is proud of its community of parents, and of the support they have shown time and time again. We are appealing to our community of parents; if your child has outgrown her or his French, Korean, Italian (or any other language, but not Chinese or English) books, and if these books are in decent shape, think of donating them to our library. They will be available for students to borrow through the ordinary library system.

特此感谢为此项目倾力奉献的各位家长，你们年复一年地支持着我们。同时我们呼吁家长们，倘若您孩子有闲置的保存完好的语言学习类书籍（法语、韩语、意大利语或其他任何语种，除英语、中文以外），请您考虑将它们捐赠给学校图书馆。孩子们将能从馆内借阅这些书籍用于学习。

协和运动队

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school sports team program. This year, we will have six main sports teams on the campus. They are Basketball (Boys and Girls), Football (Boys and Girls), Tennis, Swimming, Track and Field and Ice Hockey.

欢迎了解协和双语学校2018-2019运动队计划。今年虹桥校区会有6个运动队，分别是（男子和女子）篮球队、（男子和女子）足球队、网球队、游泳队、田径队和冰球队。

During the 2016-2017 school year, SUIS Hongqiao saw the birth of their very own Ice Hockey team, The Icers. The team unites players from Grades 1 to 5, from the Local Stream as well as the International Stream. In the coming 2018-2019 school year, The Icers will practice together weekly in off-ice and on-ice sessions. They will participate in tournaments on behalf of SUIS Hongqiao. Friendly matches will also be organized with other school within Shanghai throughout the year.

上个学年，协和虹桥校区新成立了“冰神”冰球队。队伍由来自国内部和国际部的一至五年级学生组成。在2018-2019学年，“冰神”冰球队将每周进行冰上和冰下训练。球队将代表虹桥校区参加锦标赛。此外，他们还会代表我们协和参加其他不同的赛事, 以及全年在上海各校之间组织的友谊赛。

The selection of our school teams will start next week. Sign up if you have special sports talents. Our First SSSA (Shanghai School Sports Association) U11 Boys Football Tournament will be competing on Saturday 8th September at SUIS Hongqiao.

与此同时，我们校运动队的各项选拔将于下周陆续开始。如果你有特殊的运动特长，请加入我们吧！我们的第一次上海学校体育大联盟比赛(SSSA) 11岁以下组男子足球比赛将于9月8号星期六在协和双语虹桥校区举行，让我们共同拭目以待吧！
