协和音乐剧《海底世界》Under the Sea

4月2日和3日，协和虹桥校区隆重上演自制音乐剧《海底世界》，大获成功，恭喜全体参与者。

《海底世界》改编自经典童话小美人鱼的故事，《小美人鱼》是华特迪士尼所制作的第28部经典动画长片，被称为迪士尼文艺复兴的开端。

协和剧场的《海底世界》讲述的是生活在海底的小美人鱼（由5A班的Janet扮演）非常憧憬能加入到陆地上的人类世界。随着剧情的发展，Ariel爱上了一位英俊的王子（由5A班Kei和5B班YeGuo扮演）。尽管父亲Triton（由5C班的Wonjae扮演）屡次劝阻，她仍不顾一切地与海底女巫Ursuala（由5B班的Isadora扮演）达成协议,用她那美丽的嗓音换取与王子短暂相处的机会。在螃蟹Sebastia（由4D班的Ben Y扮演）的监视之下，她冒险浮出水面，并必须在众多美女之中获得王子的关注。这些漂亮的美人鱼的扮演者们分别是5A班Marlena，5D班Angel，5D班Lina，3E班Ashling，3D班Laila以及3E班的Maya。音乐剧最终以Ariel赢得王子的爱心，海洋生物和人类共同庆祝他们的幸福时刻而收尾。

演出虽已结束，我们却还在吟唱着《海底世界》那熟悉的旋律，欣赏着由Kirsty老师和Abby老师设计制作的布景照片，回味着小美人鱼们可爱的造型和服装。非常感谢老师、家长和学生们为此次演出付出的努力。

Underthe Sea a Huge Success! Congratulations to all who participated in the production of Under of Sea! On Thursday and Friday of last week, the SUIS Hongqiao Primary School production of Under the Sea was performed to a full house in the Honqqiao Campus Auditorium. In this SUIS styled fairytale, basedon the story of the The Little Mermaid, Ariel played by Janet (5a), is a mermaid who longs for the life that she would have in the human world above the sea. During the course of the story, Ariel falls for a handsome prince (you have one of these in a fairytale!), played by Kei (5a) and Ye Guo (5b). Despite her father Triton's (Wonjae, 5c) warnings, she strikes a bargain with the wicked sea-witch Ursuala (Isadora, 5b), trading her beautiful voice for a chance to be with the handsome but human Prince. She ventures 'above the surface,' under the watchful eye of Sebastian the crab (Ben Y, 4d) and must win her prince despite ofher Mersisters competing for his attention. These marvelous Mersisters were played by Marlena 5a, Angel 5d, Lina 5d, Ashling 3e,Laila 3d and Maya 3e. In the end, Ariel wins the heart of the prince and all the Sea Creatures as well as Human Creatures celebrate their happiness. We are all still singing Under the Sea and enjoying photos of the beautiful sets by Ms.Kirsty and Ms. Abby and remembering those lovely mermaid costumes. Thank you to all staff, teachers, parents and most of all students, who helped make this agreat show.
