上通天文,斗转星移尽胸中;
下晓地理,风起云涌皆意间。
看山水,乐道山川湖海玄机;

Geography is the study of places and the relationships between people and their environments. Geographers explore both the physical properties of Earth’s surface and the human societies spread across it. They also examine how human culture interacts with the natural environment and the way that locations and places can have an impact on people.

最近,在中文地理的课堂上,融合课程部6年级的学生们完成了《世界的海洋》这一主题的学习。申啡老师带领学生们共同了解和探索了海洋类型、海陆变迁、海底地形、海洋资源以及海洋污染等方面的内容。
课后,申老师布置了一项拓展作业——研究目前存在的海洋问题,包括海洋污染、海洋垃圾、海洋生物危机等。学生们需要图文并茂地详细介绍自己了解的海洋问题,并提出解决措施或号召。

Recently, in Online Chinese Geography class, the Grade 6 students of EMW completed the study on the theme of "Oceans". Instructed by Ms. Shen, the students got to understand and explore different aspects of oceans like types of oceans, sea-land changes, submarine topographies, ocean resources and marine pollution.
After class, a survey on oceans was assigned. The students were asked to investigate the reason why the oceans were polluted seriously and give their suggestions to help solve the problem.

经过细致的资料搜集和独立思考之后,6年级的学生们充分发挥了自己的创造力,将自己的调研结果和发现的问题用各种不同的形式呈现出来。除了制作海报,同学们还通过手绘漫画和PPT来进行自我观点的表达和展示。
After careful data collection and independent thinking, the Grade 6 students gave full play to their creativity and presented their findings via posters, comics and PPT.

同学们在作业中展示了目前海洋污染的严重性,从气候变化、人为污染、过度捕捞等方面分析了产生污染的原因,最后给出了改善的建议和方法,呼吁大家重视保护海洋,共同维护海洋生物的家园。
Students showed the severity of marine pollution in their work, analyzed the causes of pollution from climate change, man-made pollution, overfishing and other aspects, and finally gave suggestions and methods for improvement, calling on everyone to protect the oceans together.


通过这一次的拓展作业,老师引导学生自己发现问题、分析问题,并鼓励他们尝试解决问题,积极探究海洋污染的成因,从而培养探索精神,创新精神和环保意识。
Through this homework, the teacher guided the students to find and analyze problems, and encouraged them to try to solve problems, and actively explore the causes of marine pollution, so as to cultivate the spirit of exploration, innovation and environmental awareness.

海洋与人类是“物我共生”的生命共同体,海洋自然生态系统是人类可持续发展所依存的重要支撑。
让我们从我做起,保护海洋环境,呵护海洋生态,还地球家园一片碧水清波。
Failing to take care of the ocean means we endanger its wildlife and cause unhealthy and hazardous conditions for humans.
Together we can work to protect our ocean so that we can save marine- and wildlife and preserve our beaches for the enjoyment of future generations.
