David Puttnam勋爵是在线教育公司Atticus Education的董事长。Atticus Education成立于2012年，为世界各地的学生提供视听课程。此外，他还是英国上议院的议员，从教育和环境问题到数字技术，他在诸多领域都发挥着积极作用。目前在英国、爱尔兰及澳大利亚担任教育、电影、公益等领域的十几个职位。

1982年，David荣获大英帝国勋章（CBE）；1995年，他荣获爵士称号；1997年，他被任命为英国上议院议员。1985年，David在法国荣获艺术及文学勋章；1992年，他荣获军官勋位；2006年，他荣获司令官勋位。此外，他还曾获得英国及海外大学的50多个荣誉学位。

2012年，他被任命为英国首相对柬埔寨、老挝、越南和缅甸的贸易和文化特使。

2002年7月到2009年7月，他任联合国儿童基金会英国分会主席，期间处理过水安全问题、贩卖儿童等多种问题。

Lord David Puttnam is the Chair of Atticus Education, an online education company founded in 2012 that delivers audio-visual seminars to students all over the world. In addition to this, he is a member of the House of Lords where he pursues an active role in a variety of areas, from educational and environmental issues to digital skills. He’s currently working for more than 10 positions in the education, movie and public welfare industries in the UK, Ireland and Australia.

Lord Puttnam spent thirty years as an independent producer of award-winning films including Chariots of Fire, etc. Together these films have won 10 Oscars, 10 Golden Globes, 25 Baftas and the Palme D'Or at Cannes. He is also a Fellow of the British Film Institute. His book on the history of the film industry, The Undeclared War - The Struggle for Control of the World's Film Industry (published as Movies and Money in North America) was first published in 1997.

Lord Puttnam started to focus on his work in public policy as it relates to education, the environment and the creative and communications industries in 1998. He was appointed the Chairman of committee in several environmental Bills and public relations reports, as well as the non-executive director on a number of public companies.

David was awarded a CBE in 1982, a knighthood in 1995, and was appointed to the House of Lords in 1997. In France he was made a Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters in 1985, becoming an Officer in 1992, and a Commander in 2006. He has been the recipient of more than 50 honorary degrees from Universities in the UK and overseas.

In 2012, he was appointed as the Prime Minister's Trade and Cultural Envoy to Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Burma.

From July 2002 to July 2009, he was President of UNICEF UK, engaging with issues as diverse as water security and child trafficking.

节目的最后，Puttnam勋爵再次表达了他相信创造性能够改变世界。人们通过创意来讲故事，而通过故事人们产生自己的价值观。人类共同的价值观就能改变世界。就如诺德安达学校们在做的，他们培养学生的共同价值观，帮助他们成为更有价值的人。

THE RIGHT WORDS CAN CHANGE THE WORLD

Lord David Puttnam is first of all asked about his thought on creativity. He thinks creativity is essentially a way of thinking and looking at things. It’s a way wondering what else you can do when you are looking at the world.

Lord Puttnam decided to pursue his filming career at the age of 28. After winning the Oscar, his life changed. It suddenly made things possible, but thrust a lot of responsibilities to him as well. Making a movie is also stressful, because you always need to have a Plan B to deal with unexpected situations.

Lord Puttnams filming career is still benefiting him when he now sits in the House of Lords and working on legislation. He’s easily adapted to work in an environment with limited resources, and only expects achievements after long-term efforts.

At last, Lord Puttnam expressed that he believes creativity can change the world. We develop stories through creativity, and then we develop values through stories. With shared values people can change the world. Just as Nord Anglia does in its schools, they help students to develop values, which turn them into very valuable human beings.
