国际视野,爱国情怀,始于每一次勇敢的尝试;
国际焦点话题,在模拟联合国会议的舞台上,都与我们息息相关;
调研、演讲、磋商,积极发声的你们如此努力;

International Vision --- Walk out of the Classroom and Face the World

International vision and patriotism begin with every brave attempt.
The international focus topics on the stage of the MUN conference are closely related to us.
You worked so hard to make your voices heard through research, speeches and consultations.
You are actively changing the world with your ability.
Last week, NACIS sent a delegation of students to the Model United Nations conference including Canson, Jerry, Lucas, William, Rachael and Joseph.
By working together, they were all honored due to their excellent performance. Among them, William, who attended as a representative of the Soviet Union, was highly praised by the teachers for his excellent speech and good organizational skills.

International Vision --- Walk out of the Classroom and Face the World
Students were required to act as diplomatic representatives of different countries and engage in heated debates on international hot topics.
To do this there is a procedure students need to follow using special language and governed by hierarchy of Chairs who help to keep debates flowing and within the rules.
They debated, negotiated and lobbied for the "national interest". They also worked with friendly countries to resolve conflicts and advance the solution of international problems by writing draft resolutions and voting on them.
For example, they needed to discuss how to avoid terrorism on the Internet and think of ways to reduce the harm done by illegal immigration, which was also asked to use individual allies as examples to produce draft resolutions to combat false information.
These are topics that students rarely touch in class, but they happen in every corner of the world. This conference not only gave them an excellent opportunity to broaden their global vision, but also provided a stage for them to express their views on hot international issues.
The discussion of these international topics also makes students learn about the impact of the world events and they are more clearly aware of the role they can play in the future.
At the end of the three-day conference, all the students believed they can make some positive changes to the world in the future.

The Future Leader- a Little "Diplomat" on the stage
The biggest challenge for the students is that they need to remember that they were representing a country. Therefore, every speech, every opinion and even every micro expression of them represents the country and must be in line with the national conditions and interests.
That is to say, students should make full preparations before the conference, not only for the topic itself, but also for the understanding of a country, because they need to stand on the point of view of the country to mediate with other "diplomats", to strive for, or even compromise.
Most of the six students have participated in the model United Nations conference several times, and they can be regarded as "old diplomats". But they admit that every conference is a bigger challenge.
They started to prepare for the conference four months ago. They made research and read lots of materials, prepared background documents, and communicated repeatedly with student representatives.
What model United Nations brings to them is not only the enhancement of English expression , but also the improvement of organizational ability and communication ability.

Global citizens – Feel the Change in Every Corner of the World
The motto of this event is ‘MUN, more than participation’.
Our students not only participated in the conferences, but also put themselves in the mind-set of different roles to deal with different situations.
As diplomatic representatives, they learned how to fight for national interests with appropriate language and clever logic.
As members of UN, they learned how to cooperate with alliances to resolve conflicts and maintain peace.
As global citizens, they sought for ways to make differences in the world.
NACIS aims to cultivate future leaders with patriotism, global vision and international competitiveness. Participating in MUN events is an educational experience for every student.
From the strategy formulation and material writing in the preparation stage to the development of debate ability and leadership skills in the actual conference, students not only improved their comprehensive ability but also showed their charms.
We hope that students can therefore better understand the missions of the UN organizations, learn to think from different perspectives with an international vision, have the emotional capability to embrace the world and become global citizens making positive influences on the world.

The Partnership with UNICEF

UNICEF is our program partner. In this project, students are assigned with relevant challenges within the framework of UN sustainable development goals. They can participate in and lead the projects both domestically and globally.
They are encouraged to present their propositions at world-class high-level conferences. Besides, they can present the solutions designed by themselves at UN regional and global summits, participating in and influencing leaders’ decisions with their own actions.
Our teachers also have the unique opportunity to take part in a series of activities in ‘the largest classroom in the world’ and acquire outstanding teaching resources.
Through the UNICEF program, students can raise their social awareness, explore and discuss the major challenges the society faced up with, design relevant solutions, and address on the world stage to make some differences to the current world situation.
