在上周的英语课中,二年级的小朋友学习了如何制作一份食谱。这是一份关于水果沙拉的食谱,因此同学们回顾和学习了一些关于水果的英语单词,比如:香蕉、苹果、西瓜、 哈密瓜、火龙果、李子、葡萄、芒果、蓝莓以及橘子等。


另外,同学们在食谱上写上需要用到的工具:碗、小刀、调羹以及叉子。
接下去,同学们还需要在食谱上写上制作水果沙拉的步骤:
第一步:把手洗干净;
第二步:准备好工具;
第三步:选择自己喜欢的水果;
第四步:把水果小心地切好并放入碗中;
第五步:好好享受自己制作的水果沙拉。

同学们制作好自己的食谱后,满心期待能够制作水果沙拉。在上周的主题课中,同学们都很激动,因为老师为他们准备了各种各样的水果以及必要的工具。这堂主题课的内容就是让学生们根据自己的食谱制作一份美味的水果沙拉。


同学们把手洗干净后,纷纷挑选自己喜欢的水果,再把水果小心翼翼地切成小块,然后放入碗中,最后就是开心地享受这份水果沙拉了。


英语课和主题课相关联,也就是理论和实践相结合,当两个学科联系起来的时候,学生们不仅锻炼了知识,巩固和拓展了词汇,更是提高了批判性思考能力以及动手能力。

In last week’s English class, Grade 2 students learned how to make a recipe. It was a recipe for fruit salad, so student reviewed and learned many fruit-related English words, for example, banana, apple, watermelon, honeydew melon, dragon fruit, plum, grape, mango, blueberry and tangerine, etc.


In addition, students were asked to write the necessary tools on the recipe: bowl, knife, spoon and fork.
Next, students needed to write down the instructions for making the fruit salad:
Step 1: wash hand;
Step 2: get equipment ready;
Step 3: choose fruit;
Step 4: cut the fruit carefully;
Step 5: enjoy the fruit salad.

After students finished their recipes, they have looked forward to making fruit salad. In last week’s thematic class, all students were so excited because the teacher prepared various kinds of fruit and the tools. The content of this class was to let students make their own fruit salad.


Students cleaned up their hands first, and picked their favorite fruit. Then, they cut the fruit into small pieces and put those into a bowl. Lastly, it was time for them to enjoy the tasty salad.


The English class was connected to the thematic class, which means theory and practice were combined. When the two subjects are connected, not only can student refresh and extend their knowledge, but also their critical thinking skill and hands-on ability will be improved.
