水文地理术语介绍：

Drainage basin system（流域系统） – The drainage basin system is an open system as it allows the movement of energy and matter across its boundaries.

Precipitation （降水）—includes all forms of rainfall, snow, frost, hail and dew.

Evaporation（蒸发） – The process by which liquid water changes to a gas. This requires energy, which is provided by the sun and aided by wind.

Interception （截留）— refers to water that is caught and stored by vegetation.

Infiltration （渗透） —is the process by which water soaks into or is absorbed by the soil.

Water balance （水平衡）– The balance between inputs (precipitation) and outputs (runoff, evapotranspiration, soil and groundwater storage) in a drainage basin.

水循环（water cycle）的过程之前在IG阶段已经接触过，肯定已经不陌生，我们所了解到宝贵的水资源可以被储存在水循环过程的多个环节中，而其中最常考的就是我们的流域水文循环（The drainage basin hydrological cycle）我们用一个图例解释它。

通过这个图例，我们显而易见得出在drainage basin hydrological cycle有两个明显的动力，一个称之为input（比如：precipitation）; 另一个称之为output（比如：transpiration）。
