The students at SUIS-Gubei have used the opportunity of online learning to throw themselves passionately into their acting. Using the online learning platform teachers and students have continued to develop their creative side through online speech exercises, poetry & prose recitals, film studies, improvisation games, monologue performances and Shakespearean rehearsals. By getting creative online, the students have used Drama lessons to have fun, practice English and develop key life skills.
协和古北的学子们对戏剧课有着十足的热情，即便是线上课程，他们仍全身心投入到表演中。通过线上学习平台，戏剧课老师们与学生踊跃互动练习演讲、诗歌朗诵、电影作品研习、即兴创作、独白表演以及莎士比亚戏剧排练……线上课堂极富创意又不乏乐趣。学生们更借此提高了自身的英语水平同时获取生活必备技能。
“These drama lessons have certainly cheered me up during this special period. It became a lesson I looked forward to. It feels good to still being able to interact with the classmates on Zoom. This social contact is what most of the people have missed. When you see that everyone is 100% devoted into the lesson, (making jokes, chatting, rehearsing) that sense of collectivity satisfies me.”

“I really enjoy drama class. The teacher always changes the types of improvisation that we use so that we enjoy the class. The reason that I enjoy it is that class is cheerful and positive and does not put too much pressure on us. We are bold to try and bold to participate, and in it we really learn how to express ourselves.”
