New staff induction at Wellington College in UK

The authentic and close partnership between all schools in the Wellington College China and Huili group of schools is central to our identity. This extends to the induction of new staff. As part of a comprehensive induction programme for all new staff to the group, many were able to attend an event held  on 3rd and 4th July 2018 at Wellington College, Berkshire. This represented the largest induction event at Wellington College for the China-based group of schools with more than 60 attendees and reflects the continued group of the group in China.

New teachers and leaders were introduced to:

• The vision of the group

• The links between TWC and the group of schools in China

• The role of Central Office in supporting schools in China

• The role of the Institute of Learning

Participants then undertook a detailed school-based induction programme.

An induction programme at the Wellington College, represents only the first phase of induction for new staff to the Wellington College China and Huili schools. An in depth programme will commence in August and ensure that all staff are thoroughly prepared for the new academic year. This represents another exciting chapter in the development of Wellington College China and Huili schools.
