Due to the strong impact of the new coronavirus epidemic in China, the school officially launched an online Learning program starting from this week. To ensure a maximum and complete learning experience and to assist students at home, we will share learning resources in a special column on the official HQIS WeChat account.

We would like to provide opportunities for our students to fully interact with HQIS during this period, therefore we invite parents and students to send us student work or videos at home and collect their works during the E-learning session. The material must be related to their assignments and our units of inquiry. Every day we will have a lucky draw, and we will publish the works of our Lucky Learners on our official WeChat platform! We will provide special gifts to those lucky learners!
我们希望在学生自主学习的这段时间,提供给大家开放的学习分享平台。我们鼓励家长及学生积极向老师们投稿发送学生日常学习的成果及视频。我们将每日抽取幸运学习者,于HQIS公众平台发布他们的学习成果,被抽中的学生将于开学后获得神秘礼品!

Some examples of exercise disciplines you can do at home are listed below:
Yoga
Yoga does more than burn calories and tone muscles. It's a total mind-body workout that combines strengthening and stretching poses with deep breathing and meditation or relaxation.
瑜伽不仅仅是燃烧卡路里和锻炼肌肉,更是一种身心结合的锻炼。通过深呼吸、冥想或放松来加强和伸展身体。
There are more than 100 different forms of yoga. Some are fast-paced and intense. Others are gentle and relaxing.
瑜伽有100多种不同的形式。有些是快节奏和紧张的,有一些则温柔和放松。
Examples of different yoga forms include:
• Hatha. The form most often associated with yoga, it combines a series of basic movements with breathing.
• Vinyasa. A series of poses that flow smoothly into one another.
• Power. A faster, higher-intensity practice that builds muscle. • Ashtanga. A series of poses, combined with a special breathing technique.
• Bikram. Also known as "hot yoga," it's a series of 26 challenging poses performed in a room heated to a high temperature.
• Iyengar. A type of yoga that uses props like blocks, straps, and chairs to help you move your body into the proper alignment
Zumba
Zumba is an aerobic fitness program featuring movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dance and performed primarily to Latin American dance music. Over time, it has come to encompass a wide variety of dance and fitness progressions within each workout.
When selecting a Zumba activity chose one that is appealing to you. Some versions can engaged more muscular strength and endurance while other focus more on the cardiovascular system.
Loads of diverse examples can be found online through search engines or YouTube.

原地有氧运动
Just a normal source of cardio in a non-locomotor setting. Meaning you aren’t moving from the spot on which you initially started. While your body is moving through the same movements as if you were jogging, skipping, skiing etc… you stay on the same spot on the floor.
非运动环境下的正常有氧运动,在家里找一块空地就可以进行。你在做慢跑、跳绳、滑雪等动作时,你会在地板上相同的区域。
