点滴回忆，满满收获——国际数学衔接、体验课程有感

当得知初中部和高中部的这次合作时，不少同学都十分激动。随着时间的流逝，大家都已经开始为自己的前途奔忙，每一个学习的机会都必须被紧紧抓牢，而由美国高中老师上的英语数学课程尤为难得。

Students of SUIS Middle school was very excited when they knowed that middle school is about to cooperate with America High School. As time goes on,everyone has begun to be busy for their future. Every opportunity to learn must be firmly grasped. That's why the English Mathematics teached by the high school teachers was very valuable.

最终通过考试披荆斩棘选出的几十位同学参加了第一期课程，第一节课便是从未接触过的指数函数。外国人学数学特别简单的谣言不攻自破，而同学们也必须调整好心态，上课认真听老师讲课，由于是全英文授课，大家都必须全神贯注才能学好新的知识。

Finally, dozens of students who selected through the examination took part in the first class.the first class was  logarithmic function that has never been heard by those students.It scorched the rumor that foreigners learn simple mathematics.The students must adjust their mentality and listen to the teacher carefully in class.Due to the language, all of the students must concentrate attentively on learning new knowledge.

第一节课结束后，同学们都有些没反应过来，但很快，大家就调整好心态迎接接下来的挑战。在关于三角函数和几何问题的研究上，同学们踊跃回答、积极发言，活络的思维不仅惊讶了的高中部的老师，更使课堂气氛越来越浓郁，大家都一心一意地渴望学习新的知识。

After the first class, the students were a little confused.But soon, they adjusted to meet the next challenges. On the research of trigonometric function and geometry problems, the students answered actively. Their thinking not only surprised the high school teachers, but also made the atmosphere of study getting stronger and stronger.All of them were eager to learn new knowledge.

到目前为止，同学们已经进行了8次英语数学课程的学习，其中不仅收获了不少数学知识，还了解了AP、IGCSE等课程体系的细节和区别，更亲自体验了高中部的全英语课堂。在未来的人生道路上，这段经历也将成为同学们成就自己的强大助力，祝他们前程似锦，一路顺风。

So far, the students have studied English Mathematics for 8 times.Not only learned a lot of mathematics knowledge, they also understanded the details and differences of curriculum systems such as AP and IGCSE.They have also experienced the all-English class of American High School by themselves. In the future of life,this experience will also be a further help to the students.Wish them all the best in the future.

Recently, USHS math department has prepared a series of lectures with different topics for middle schoolers. As a USHS math teacher, I enjoyed this teaching experience. In my session, I taught some important postulates and theorems related to quadrilaterals and polygons. I gladly found most students were familiar with the basic concepts of geometry. In the class, they were very active. They showed tremendous curiosity and passion for problem solving especially for some challenging problems. Although some students could not speak English fluently, they were always trying to speak in English and deliver their own ideas. I hope that students may have a chance to explore more interesting mathematical concepts through this series of lectures, more importantly, they can find the beauty of math through the lecture.

作为中学部的一名教师，我非常荣幸有机会近距离观摩和学习高中部教师专门为八年级学生开设的英语数学衔接课程。无论是中方教师，还是外籍教师，每位教师都准备非常充分，课堂氛围轻松自由，他们共同的一个特点就是随时会询问学生“Do you have any question?”,鼓励学生提问与思考，并表达自己的想法。另外，每节课都会有不同的数学主题，对数学知识的涉猎非常广泛，囊括了代数、几何、概率、计算机科学以及各种不同国际课程综合比较等，既符合学生的认知特点和最近发展区，又扩展了学生知识面的广度和深度。虽然只有短短几次课，但在这个过程中我受益良多，尤其是如何用英语来组织和表达数学课堂，某些数学专业词汇的表达，以及每位教师的教育智慧都让我受益匪浅。
