After the meeting, teachers brought what they learned in the conference to kindergarten to benefit students.STEAM for middle and kindergarten classes emphasize scientific thinking, such as how to answer questions, find solutions and prove whether it works. Nursery and middle classes focus on interest fostering, encouraging children to use multiple senses to experience different contents.

DTD Kindergartens place a great deal of importance on home-school collaboration, and as such have applied an advanced APP where each parent is able to know what their children are doing in the kindergarten while parents are also available to communicate with teachers in time.Parental activities are also carried out for each month in DTD Kindergartens by inviting parents to be a teacher and experience their children's daily life. In 2017, the Shanghai Municipal Government officially began to launch childcare community project. As a government project in 2017, there are 20 childcare communities under construction. DTD took charge of 2 of them, which are located in Hongqiao Town and Xinhong Street.

The two childcare centers are connected with the Education Bureau for 24 hours real-time monitoring. Children are offered with one meal in lunchtime and two healthy snacks in morning and afternoon. All food is consumed within 48 hours. The childcare centers have their own canteens and kitchens; they are fully staffed by DTD’s own staff. The nutritionist prepares a new menu each week.

The curriculum system in childcare center consists of core courses and special courses. Core courses include life course, games and sports. The life course focuses on habits development, including eating habits, sleeping habits and washing habits; Sports courses focus on movement and physical exercise, these including sports to promote the balance and coordination; Game courses are to help children improve cognitive and language capability, including playing, singing, dancing, painting and building blocks.The featured courses include English perception, picture books, music, creative art, STEAM (Lego) etc.

At present, the number of students is full in DTD Childcare community of Xinhong town. There are limited places in DTD childcare community of Hongqiao road.
