小朋友们，相信你们已经通过爸爸妈妈、电视新闻或是网络听说了新型冠状病毒，如果人感染了，就会得一种非常难治的肺炎。那么什么是新型冠状病毒呢？要知道这个问题，我们要先明白冠状病毒是什么。它是一个大型的病毒家族，有很多种，这种病毒在放大很多倍之后，看着像一个王冠，所以被称为冠状病毒。

现在我们就该说说新型冠状病毒是什么了，之所以叫新型，那是因为呀，之前从来没有发现过新毒株，因此才叫它新型冠状病毒。这次以武汉为重点的肺炎疫情就是这种病毒造成的，所以我们一定要多加小心，听从家长的安排，保护好自己和家人的安全。

Hi kids, you have probably heard of the novel coronavirus from your parents, TV, or internet. If anyone is infected, he/she will get a pneumonia that is hard to cure. So, what exactly is novel coronavirus? We need to understand the coronavirus before figuring out this question. It is a large family of viruses, and it’s so called coronavirus because it seems like a crown. 

In additional, it is novel because this kind of strain has never been discovered before. The NCP in Wuhan is caused by this type of virus. Therefore, we must be careful to protect yourselves and other family members.
